JEST 2024 Examination Date Announced, Registrations Open till Jan 24; Check Details Here

New Delhi: SERB, the examination conducting authority has announced the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2024 exam dates. The JEST 2024 will be conducted on March 3, 2024, from 10 AM to 1 PM at 38 exam centers nationwide for candidates seeking admission to PhD, and Integrated PhD. programs in fields such as physics, theoretical computer science, and neuroscience.

Some of the prestigious institutions in India, including the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), IISc, and several IITs, participate in JEST for admissions to their PhD. and Integrated PhD programs. 

JEST 2024 Application Form is ongoing till January 24, 2024. Candidates must pay an application fee of INR 800 (INR 400 in case of reservation) to fill out the JEST 2024 Application Form. 

JEST Exam 2024: Important Dates

JEST offers admission to the following academic programs for the 2024–25 session:

• PhD / Integrated PhD Programme in Physics
• Theoretical Computer Science
• Neuroscience or Computational Biology 

JEST 2024 Application Fee

• Candidates must pay the application fee online. 
• The JEST application fee is INR 800 for general categories 
• The fee is INR 400 for SC/ST Male Applicants and Non-SC/ST Female

Note: The application Fee is waived for female applicants belonging to the SC/ST category.

JEST 2024 Application Process 

The application process for JEST 2024 will be conducted entirely online and is anticipated has commenced in the first week of January 2024 on the official website: jest.org.in/joint-entrance-screening-test. 

Interested candidates are required to review the minimum eligibility criteria before initiating the registration process. Each participating institute has its specific eligibility criteria for admission to PhD/Integrated PhD programs. Candidates will have the chance to rectify any errors in the application form, as SERB will provide access to the web portal for corrections.

JEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• For PhD Admission through JEST 2024, candidates must have completed their B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. in relevant disciplines.
• Candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in their previous qualifying marks.
