The Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Chennai, has a tentative special stray vacancy round counselling schedule for UG (MBBS & BDS) admissions in Tamil Nadu Government Medical & Dental Colleges, Government & Management Quota seats in self-financing medical & Dental colleges.
The Registration Choice Filling & Locking will begin from 10 AM on December 20, 2025, to December 23, 2025, up to 5 PM. The seat allotment process will be held on December 24, 2025, and result will be published on December 25, 2025. Selected candidates must report to the allotted college on or before December 31, 2025, by 5 PM.
According to the official guidelines, downloading of the allotment order will be considered as joined, so candidates can download their provisional allotment order from December 25, 2025, to December 31, 2025, till 12 Noon.

Candidates who are not holding any MBBS/BDS seats in the All India Quota and State Quota are only eligible to participate in this online counselling.
Candidates should pay an Additional Security Deposit amount of INR 5 Lakhs for the MBBS program, and INR 2 Lakhs for the BDS program for participating in this Round (If any) via online Bank payment portal, which is not refundable, in case the candidate, after allotment does not join the course.
Documents Required for TN NEET Special Stray Round Counselling
Shortlisted candidates have to report to their respective allotted college with the required documents:
- Valid NEET UG Admit card
- Valid NEET UG Score card or result
- Class 10th & 12th marksheet and passing certificate
- Domicile (If required)
- Caste Certificate (If required)
- Valid Government ID proof
- Registration certificate or proof of counselling
- Passport-sized photograph (min 10)
- Character certificate
- Seat Allotment Letter
