As per the latest update, the Telangana Open School Society (TOSS) has decided to cancel TOSS SSC Exam 2020 and TOSS 2nd-year Inter Exams 2020 for Class X and XII students in view of the COVID-19 Epidemic. Students from TOSS SSC and Inter Classes will be promoted to the next year on the basis of the assessment scheme used for regular students.
As per the TOI Report, TOSS Director S Venkateswara Sharma has confirmed the news and said, students have no reason to worry as they will be promoted like regular students. He further added that a formal notification confirming the same will be issued by the TOSS Society in the next couple of days.
Around 42,000 SSC students and 33,000 Intermediate students benefitted with the cancellation of exams after the Telangana Government’s Order.
Ever since the announcement was made to promote the regular students, the students of TOSS demanded exam cancellation by promoting them as the situation is worsening.
Decision after NIOS’s Decision to Cancel Class X and XII Exams
Director S Venkateswara Sharma, the director of Telangana Open School Society (TOSS) also said that the decision was taken by the society following the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) decided to cancel the pending Class X and XII examinations and instead opted to promote students on the bases of internal assessment policy.
NIOS Class X and XII exams 2020 were canceled and the Supreme Court has directed the board to announce the results for the students on the internal assessment basis on August 7, 2020.
