IIT Delhi and the University of Queensland have come together to offer a Join PhD Program. Interested candidates can apply for admission from September 01 to October 03, 2023.

New Delhi: University of Queensland, Australia and IIT Delhi have collaborated to offer a joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in a Multi-disciplinary area. The admission process for this joint PhD program is open for all interested and eligible candidates.

As per IIT Delhi, Indian candidates who wish to apply for PhD programs in Arts, Science, Technology, and Medical discipline can submit their applications through the official website at uqidar.org. The last date to apply for the admission process is October 03, 2023. 

To apply for University of Queensland and IIT Delhi Joint PhD Program, aspirants need to have a master’s degree with a minimum of 65% marks. Those who do not meet the requirements will not be considered for the joint PhD admission seats.

The official website reads, "Through the UQIDAR joint-PhD program, you can receive a scholarship to study at two world-leading, research-intensive institutions – The University of Queensland (UQ) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IITD) – on multidisciplinary projects”.

“Indian nationals and international applicants (with citizenship other than Australia), will be considered for admission as i-students. i-students will spend their first year of study at IITD before completing one year (or more) at UQ”, it reads.

Step 2: Choose a project from the ones available. Check the eligibility requirements
