Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) conducts UP Board class 10th and Class 12th Exam every year in the month of March. UP Board Results were declared on June 27 and the authority also provided the facility to candidates to apply for Retotalling/Revaluation of answer sheets. This year the process was made online for the first time and unsatisfied candidates were asked to apply for Revaluation soon after the declaration of result.

The board did not provide any official data for the number of Applications received for revaluation, however, according to the sources there has been a downfall and only one-third of applications have been received in comparison to previous years.
In total 32,084 applications have been received this year for scrutiny. While 24,291 candidates from Class 12th and 7,813 from class 10th have applied for revaluation. The number of applications last year were close to 1 lakh combining class 10th and 12th.
Multiple reasons are being inferred and most significant being COVID-19 pandemic. The candidates cannot visit cyber cafes to fill application forms. The Fee has also increased to 5 times from last year. The application fee for revaluation this year is Rs 500 per subject while it used to be Rs 100 in 2018.
10,231 applications have been received from Prayagraj followed by Varanasi with 7,624 applicants. Meerut has 6752 applications Gorakhpur with 4318 applicants.
