UP Government Releases Guidelines for University Admissions 2020-21

The Uttar Pradesh Government has issued new guidelines for the next academic year 2020-21. 

AS per reports, the admission process for the graduate programs will commence from September 2020, whereas the classes for the first-year students will start from October 1, 2020.

On the other hand, the classes for postgraduate programs will start from November 1, 2020.

The UP government had earlier decided to reduce the syllabus for the next academic year keeping in mind the loss of classes that happened during the pandemic situation. However, the final decision on the same will be taken after holding a few meetings.

UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma stated that a zero session will not be declared and the government will find ways to make up for the lost time.

With the UP schools being closed, the academic calendar has been delayed due to which the UP board has reported reducing the syllabus for the next academic year as a one time measure.
