UP Universities Exams To Be Held after June 30

The Uttar Pradesh government has advised all universities and colleges to conduct semester or annual exams after June 30, 2020.

Rajendra Kumar Tiwari, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has released a statement on social media stating, "Semester and annual exams in universities and higher institutes should be held after June 30, 2020."

The official declaration was addressed to directors and vice-chancellors of state universities along with District Magistrates and divisional commissioners.

He asked institutions about to hold the 2019-2020 exams, to make necessary arrangements regarding the safety of the students. Institutes need to be adequately sanitised.

This also includes facilitating alcohol-based sanitisers in the exam centres so that students and staff can sanitise their hands before entering the venue.

All educational institutions in the state are shut down since the commencement of nationwide lockdown. As a fact many institutes including B.Ed. colleges are about to conduct entrance exams for 2020.

The chief secretary of the State also directed B.Ed Colleges to hold entrance exams on a Sunday in July, when no other exams will be held.
