The Uttar Pradesh Tandon Open University has recently decided to promote all students from first and second year to the next year without conducting examinations.

The administration of Rajarshi Tandon Open University announced that students from first and second year will be promoted to the next academic session without having to appear for examinations. This however does not apply for final year students since they will have to appear for final sem exams in September.

UGC has advised to conduct examinations for only final year students. The examination schedule and date-sheet is to be released soon. Over 50,000 first and second year students are to be promoted to the next year.

The preparations to conduct the final year examinations are already underway. The exams for final annual and semester students from certificate, diploma and PG Diploma courses are to be held in September.

The exams were previously scheduled to be conducted August 25 onwards. However, there has been a delay caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the exponential rise in cases.
