Five years ago Dr. Shashi Ranjan and Debayan Saha had invented a technology, which has now been tested and certified by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) that can be used to kill novel coronavirus.

The technology invented by the duo is the first Indian technology that abides by US FDA guidelines, ISO 10993, and proves to be completely safe for both humans and animals.

Who are the inventors of this technology?

Dr. Shashi Ranjan and Debayan Saha are the masterminds of this innovation, who completed their coveted Biodesign innovation fellowship from Stanford University in the USA. They headed back to India in 2015 to start their innovation journey at AIIMS, Delhi with a determination to work for their country.

One of the inventors Debayan Saha, Co-founder of PerSapien elucidated about the technology, "Fundamental physics has been used to harness and super-magnify the unique properties of water which under certain optimized conditions can transform normal tap water into an antiviral. Micron sized droplets generated from this antiviral water are dispersed in the environment to destroy the SARS CoV2 which is the COVID-19 virus. "

The inventors believe that COVID-19 has made us more vulnerable to bioterrorism, new viruses, biohazards, and in this case the much-anticipated vaccines will be ineffective.

Dr. Shashi Rajan, Co-founder of PerSapien said that the uniqueness of the device is that it runs on water, which is an easily accessible resource globally, unlike chemicals, alcohols, etc. The device will also be very inexpensive to deploy and run at a mass scale to reach out to the public schools in the underprivileged areas, as informed Ranjan.

Just like water is shared with all humans in nature, the mission of the organization 'PerSapien' where 'Per' stands for each and 'Sapien' stands for human life, is to make the technology available for all equally.
