How to Raise Objections Against the Answer Key?

The board has enabled an online challenge facility for the provisional answer key. Candidates must submit objections before the deadline to be considered valid.

  • Log in to the candidate portal at wbjeeb.nic.in.
  • Open the answer key challenge link on the activity board.
  • Select the question numbers to be challenged.
  • Upload supporting documents or references for each objection.
  • Pay the fee of Rs 500 per question through online payment modes.
  • Submit the challenge and save the confirmation page.

Payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the challenge.

Why This Matters

The objection window is the only formal chance to flag errors. Challenges accepted by the expert committee are applied to every candidate. This can shift individual scores before the final result is declared.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Log in to the candidate portal and download the answer key.
  2. Download the personal OMR response sheet for cross checking.
  3. Match your responses with the provisional answer key carefully.
  4. Identify any questions where the marked answer looks incorrect.
  5. Collect textbook references or study material to back each objection.
  6. Submit challenges and pay Rs 500 per question before August 2, 2026.
Keep an Eye On

Watch wbjeeb.nic.in for the final answer key and JEPBN 2026 result announcement. Counselling and seat allotment schedules will follow the result release.
