WBJEE Decentralised Counselling 2026 Phase 1 Registration Extended till September 9 at wbjeeb.nic.in; Check Revised Schedule

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has extended the last date to complete West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2026 Phase 1 decentralised counselling registration to September 9, 2026. Candidates can now register, pay the fee and lock choices till 6 PM on the official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in. The earlier deadline was September 8, 2026.

WBJEEB has also released a revised Phase 1 schedule for the Decentralised Counselling and Admission Process (DCAP). The extension gives applicants one more day to complete profile creation and choice selection. All later stages, including Round 1 seat allotment and reporting, have been shifted accordingly.

The board is offering 36,491 vacant seats in this phase. This includes 33,857 seats in engineering, technology and architecture and 2,634 seats in pharmacy across participating institutes in West Bengal.

Who Is Eligible for the Decentralised Counselling?

The decentralised round is open to a wider pool than the earlier centralised counselling. WBJEEB has allowed the following groups to apply for Phase 1.

• Candidates who qualified WBJEE 2026 and hold a valid rank.
• Candidates with a valid JEE Main 2026 score.
• Candidates eligible through Class 10+2 merit for pharmacy seats, as per rules.
• Candidates who were allotted a seat earlier but did not take admission.

Applicants must meet the domicile, age and subject rules laid down in the WBJEE 2026 information brochure. The registration fee for this phase is Rs 250 and is non-refundable.

How to Register for WBJEE 2026 Phase 1 Counselling?

Candidates should complete each step in one sitting to avoid a session timeout. The revised deadline is firm at 6 PM on September 9.

1. Visit the official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in.
2. Click on the WBJEE 2026 decentralised counselling link.
3. Register using the WBJEE roll number or JEE Main application number.
4. Complete the profile and upload the required documents.
5. Pay the Rs 250 registration fee through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
6. Fill and lock the choices of institutes and branches in order of preference.
