WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling Revised Schedule Released; Check Last Date to Register

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the revised schedule. It applies to the WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling process. Candidates can register on the official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in. The window covers vacant seats across participating institutions in West Bengal.

The counselling will run in two phases to fill vacant seats. Each phase carries its own registration and seat allotment cycle. All candidates with a valid WBJEE rank can now participate.

Who Is Eligible to Participate?

All valid WBJEE 2026 rank holders can join this counselling. The board has rolled back the earlier restricted eligibility criteria. This change opens the process to a wider group of rank holders.

The counselling covers undergraduate seats in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy. Both government and self-financed private institutions in West Bengal are taking part.

How to Register for WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling?

1. Visit the official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in.
2. Click on the WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling registration link.
3. Log in using the WBJEE 2026 application number and password.
4. Fill in the required details and pay the registration fee online.
5. Select and lock preferred college and branch choices before the deadline.

What Should Candidates Do After Seat Allotment?

Allotted candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee within the reporting window. They must then upload documents and report to the allotted institute. Missing these steps within the deadline will cancel the allotted seat.

Candidates should contact the allotted institute for exact timings and document requirements. Institute websites carry specific reporting instructions for admitted students.

What Happens If a Candidate Misses Phase 1?

Candidates who miss Phase 1 can register fresh for Phase 2. The Phase 2 window opens on September 10 and closes on September 12. Phase 2 seat allotment will be declared on September 13.

Candidates unhappy with their Phase 1 seat can also try Phase 2. Fresh choice filling is allowed in the second phase.

2. Register and fill choices between September 2 and 4.
3. Wait for the Phase 1 seat allotment on September 6.
4. Pay the seat acceptance fee if allotted a seat.
5. Report to the allotted institute with all required documents.
6. Register afresh for Phase 2 by September 12 if needed.
