Who Can Apply for WB NEET UG 2026 Counselling?
Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 to be eligible. They must also meet the West Bengal domicile rules set by WBMCC. Applicants have to select their domicile category during registration.
WBMCC recognises three domicile types for this round. Category A1 covers candidates whose schooling was entirely in West Bengal. Category A2 covers those with partial schooling in the state, and Category B applies to management and NRI quota aspirants.
Which Seats Are Covered in Round 1?
Round 1 covers MBBS and BDS seats under multiple quotas. These include the 85 percent state quota in government medical and dental colleges. Management quota and NRI quota seats in private colleges are also included in this round.
How to Register for WB NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling?
Candidates should visit the official portal at wbmcc.nic.in. Click on the New Registration link on the homepage. Enter the NEET UG 2026 roll number, application number and date of birth.
Complete the profile with personal, academic and communication details. Select the applicable domicile type from A1, A2 or B. Upload the required documents in the specified format.
Pay the registration fee online using net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. Submit the form and save the confirmation page for future reference.
Where to Report After Seat Allotment?
Allotted candidates must report between August 26 and August 28. Reporting time is 10 AM to 4 PM on each day. MBBS candidates report at designated government medical colleges in Kolkata.
Dental (BDS) candidates must report at Dr. R Ahmed Dental College and Hospital. Candidates must carry all original documents and pay the applicable college fees at reporting.
