The application for West Bengal GNM has been started from July 28 in online mode. The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal which is the conducting body of GNM have started accepting applications.
West Bengal GNM Nursing training course is a three-year diploma course offered by various diploma nursing colleges across West Bengal.

The last date of application for West Bengal GNM course is August 10, 2020, till 11:00 PM.
While the choice of filling the school option will close on August 12, 2020, at 12 Midnight.

West Bengal GNM Eligibility Criteria 2020
The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal along with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) has set the following eligibility criteria for the West Bengal GNM Nursing programme.
- Applicants must have completed Class 12th from any recognized university.
- Minimum age should be 17 years and maximum 27 years as on 31st December 2020 for applying
- Candidate must be an Indian National and a permanent resident of West Bengal
- Applicants should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali or Nepali
- Students of Vocational Agriculture or Vocational Home Science can also apply

West Bengal GNM Selection Criteria
Applicants will be granted admission to the General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course on the basis of marks obtained in Higher Secondary Examination.
For admission, the authority will take into consideration marks obtained in English and other best of three subjects except for Environmental Education in class 12 or equivalent examination.
How to Apply for West Bengal GNM?
- Visit the official website of Government of West Bengal, Department of Health and Family Welfare
- Login using your Email ID/User ID and Password
- After logging in for a new application, candidates have to click on ‘New Application’ button
- Click on the Apply Now Button on the GNM Counselling or ANM Counselling
- On the application page, fill the required fields
- After Filling all the necessary fields, candidates have to check the declaration form
- Click on the Submit button
- Download the application form for future reference
