Tamil Nadu Open University the first Open University of Chennai located in the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The courses offered by University are recognized by UGC, NCTE, RCI, and DEB. Admission to IT at NIT Surathkal and CSE at MNNIT is done through scores obtained in the JEE Mains entrance test and percentage in 10+2.

CSE department of MNNIT is equipped with internet connectivity of 10.5 Gbps supported through Optical fiber, 104 HP Compaq Elite 8300, 2 IBM Blade Server, 48 HP 406 G1 MT Business PCs, IBM SAN Storage, etc.

Both the universities are of high repute, offering quality education and high placement drive.

The department of Mining Engineering is one of the first few established at IIT BHU. It came into existence as early as 1923, as a department of Geology, Mining, and Metallurgy. The course structure of mining It includes mechanical, electrical, electronics, earth sciences, and even computer science. At the same time, if you get interested in physical work, then this department offers the most exciting field jobs.

The placements are perfect for mining engineering.
