Which is better, MNIT Jaipur or DTU??
MNIT Jaipur is far better than DTU in terms of every aspect. You will like to consider these points
Cutoff: MNIT Jaipur CSE closing rank is much lower than DTU CSE so the crowd quality is better than at MNIT Jaipur. In fact, even general category students with 1 lakh+ rank are able to make it into DTU.
Location: MNIT Jaipur is located in the middle of Jaipur City while DTU is located in the outskirts of Delhi.
Campus: MNIT Jaipur has a lush green campus of 320 Acres while DTU has an old Infrastructure with 165 Acres Campus on Bawana Village
Alumni: MNIT Jaipur has a much more extensive alumni network. Some of them include

Which university is better Anna University or SRM University?
Anna University is better than SRM University. The university cutoff is around 99%. It has a good faculty base. The professors are experienced and well-qualified. The university fees are lower compared to other Govt. universities.
The university offers good placements. Anna University placements 2022 ended with an average CTC of INR 7 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 36 LPA. Ola, Cisco, DE Shaw, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in the campus drive frequently.
Which publications reference books are best for the IGNOU BA programme, GPH Straight Forward or Neeraj?
It is strongly advised that you only purchase Neeraj Publication books and not the GPH. If you want to pass the exam, GPH is sufficient. However, if you want to learn something and get good grades, you should definitely buy Neeraj Publication books. Neeraj Publication books are a mix of direct questions answered and concepts covered briefly. This is a better introduction to the subject than the GPH.
Neither Neeraj publication books nor GPH can replace the IGNOU study material. Studying these IGNOU books will not only increase your knowledge but will also boost your confidence. You need to determine your reason for studying first and then study the book accordingly.
How is the placement scenario at IIT Kanpur?
Placements play an important role in one’s career and most of the time an institute's worth and credibility are judged on the basis of the same. IIT Kanpur maintains an am excellent placement scenario which has been explained further in detail
Department Wise:
- Computer Science, Electrical and Mathematics & Computing (CEM): The branches are the most preferred by companies with CS placement being 100% while Electrical and Mathematics & Computing have above 95%.
- Core Branches: Most students tend to go for core jobs because the core opportunities in their branches are scarce. However, IIT Kanpur has many top core companies visiting the campus yearly.
- Interdisciplinary branches: Some core companies allow students of these branches to sit for placements yet they prefer students from the main department over them.
Course wise
- B.Tech/BS: The most sought-after students belong to either BTech or BS. Every firm offers enough roles to these students except some core companies that prefer MTech students to BTech students.
- Dual Degree: The students are open to opportunities offered to both BTech as well as MTech students owing to the nature of their degree
- M.Tech/MSR/M.Sc: Branches like CSE, Stats, and Design provide good opportunities to MTech students. Some no core and almost all core companies prefer MTech students
Kind of roles:
- Software: The majority of recruiters are software firms that prefer CEM students or students with food coding skills in general.
- Core roles: Quite a number of core companies visit
- Analytics: The number of analytical roles offered has increased due to its increase in demand. Anyone with good analytical skills is open to such roles.
- Consulting: Many top consulting firms visit the campus and open profiles to B.Tech and Dual degree streams.
- Product roles: These roles too have seen an increase over the last 2 years.
All in all, the placement scenario at IIT Kanpur is quite good with a plethora of opportunities provided that you are well-prepared and determined.
How was the experience at ISB Mohali in general? Did you ever feel like you should have been in Hyderabad instead?
My cousin belonged to the Mohali campus of ISB and during her exchange term, she observed and compared the pros and cons of both campuses. I have listed the major pros of both colleges.
ISB Hyderabad
- Huge batch size ensures peers from a variety of backgrounds.
- The location is helpful for the students to maintain a good social life
- ISB Hyderabad has a wider range of student-driven clubs and committed
- The placement presentations take place at the Hyderabad campus and Mohali students get to join through a video call only
ISB Mohali
- ISB Mohali has very few resident faculty as it has been recently established. As a result, the institute calls in the best faculty from colleges like Wharton, UNC, and Kellogg to teach. Their pedagogy is unique and ISB Hyderabad lacks in this aspect.
- The campus is new so the accommodation facilities are better and made to suit all the necessary requirements. These hostels have better furnishing, space, and housekeeping facilities in comparison to the hostels of ISB Hyderabad.
- The small batch size ensures the quality over quantity belief
- The choice of electives is done through online bidding at ISB. Hyderabad campus with its huge batch size makes it impossible for all the students to get their choice of electives. Mohali students, in turn, face no such problem because of the small batch size
ISB maintains a strict balance between both campuses and the placement statistics are a testament to that as no major differences can be observed.
Overall my cousin never regretted choosing Mohali over Hyderabad and recommends the same to everyone.
How do I pass the IGNOU BCA exam?
One of my friends was pursuing BCA from IGNOU. He shared that initially he did not take the course seriously. He believed that distance learning is extremely easy and does not require effort. But as per his experience, this course is no joke despite being distance learning. BCA is a technical or IT field. You can't just write anything and attain marks like many other subjects.
He further shared a few tips that might help you pass the IGNOU BCA exam:

You will have to start working hard right from your first year. Set your goal as 80-90%. Only then will you get around 50-60%.

Try to pass each and every subject in your first attempt.

Don't leave any questions unanswered in your exams.

Read study materials provided by IGNOU.

Solve the past 5-6 years' question papers thoroughly. This will be a big help.

Is NMIMS Indore worth a shot?
Yes, the NMIMS Indore campus is worth considering. Although the campus hasn’t been running for long it has made commendable progress. The institute offers experienced faculties, interactive classrooms, various learning committees like technical, literary, sports, cultural, etc.
The statistics for NMIMS Indore placement have been good over the years. In 2021, the highest and average CTC offered was 14 LPA and 8.6 LPA. As a city, Indore is a great option. You can easily avail living space and transport facilities at Indore.
How good is the Chennai Institute of Technology at Kundrathur?

How is a typical day at XLRI jamshedpur?
