Which college is better: Seth GS Medical College Mumbai (SGSMC) or Maulana Azad Medical College Delhi (MAMC)?
It will be better to go to Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi (MAMC). Here are some reasons why:

CUSAT Kochi is better than KTU. Being older, it is more recognized.

How placements really are at NIT hamirpur?
During the NIT Hamirpur placements in 2022, 627 students were placed and 806 jobs were offered. The highest package offered by NIT Hamirpur was INR 1.51 crore per year, which was accepted by the student(s) of Dual Degree in Computer Science & Engineering. The CSE branch had the highest rate of placement.
According to media reports, the institute has begun the recruitment process for the class of 2023. So far, the average package at NIT Hamirpur has been INR 12.84 LPA, which is 39% higher than last year. In addition, the number of recruiters who visited the campus increased by 20% to 36. What are the things I need to pack for college first year at KIIT University?
As a first-year student at KIIT, pack all the basic things of your personal requirement. You will get more or less everything else from the college and the hostel itself.
The college dress code is a salwar suit for girls and formal shirt pants for boys.
In the girls’ hostel, after the first semester, the wardens may show some leniency and allow you to wear leggings and kurta instead of a suit and dupatta. This leniency is completely a warden’s choice. Pack these clothes accordingly.
During the first week at KIIT, you will have a school and university orientation. In it, you will be given all the important information in the central auditorium. After 2-3 days, you will get your laptop, books, bags, etc.
Both girls and boys hostels provide all the basic necessities to students. These include basic beddings, a mattress, a pair of bedsheets, buckets, etc.
You can carry extra bedsheets if you wish. Also, pack towels, personal things, and basic items like water bottles, toothpaste, body wash, pen stands, some containers, and hangers. You need not bring an induction if you are a girl student. This is because every girls' hostel has an induction on each floor.
You can pack straighteners, curlers, irons and other electronic appliances but at your own responsibility because the hostel does not allow it. However, it is obvious that none can do without an iron.
From books to notebooks, the college will provide you with everything. Bring a white and blue apron for the Chemistry and BMS labs. Also, bring a lock and key for your room and cupboard.
Do not worry much. You will love your stay here and make wonderful memories. I would say, make the most of your time at KIIT.
I am getting IIT Patna CSE, but being from Delhi, living in Patna scares the hell out of me. How can I deal with this thought?
My friend is a student at IIT Patna and shared his side of the story about city life there. Unlike the general misconception, Patna is rather a safe city.
He visited the city frequently to buy basic things and never did he feel unsafe or comfortable during the 4 years of his stay.
The campus of IIT Patna spreads across a massive 500 acres and is beautifully designed. The campus is still in its development phase but not to the extent that it will hamper your college life experience in any way. Students can be seen roaming around and indulging in sports such as table tennis and cricket.
As for the CS department, IIT Patna is very dynamic and has many clubs that will keep you motivated and interested in the field. I would certainly recommend you to go to IIT Patna and experience the bliss of college life.
How good is Kongu Engineering College in Tamilnadu?
One of my cousins studied at Kongu Engineering College, and according to him itis a very good institute.It has an updated course curriculum and is well equipped with all the modern facilities.
Some of the things that make Kongu an adequate engineering college are as follows:
- The infrastructure of this college is very beautiful. It also includes a library, seminar halls, and hostel.
- The campus is wifi enabled.
- The central library has a wide range of books and online journals.
- The college also has logistics facilities available which connect to all the major cities in its 80 km radius.
- They also have a well-experienced faculty. They motivate and support every student and eventually turn out to be the best mentors.
- The academics are very good with a regularly updated course curriculum.
- The classes are being conducted regularly without any lapse.
The placements are very good. If you can maintain basic aptitude and have knowledge about the subject, you are sure to secure a job offer.

Irrespective of the B school you choose between FMS and IIM Calcutta, you will surely have a bright future with many job opportunities. Had I been in your place I would have gone for IIM Calcutta for the following obvious reasons:
- Infrastructure - IIM ABC are well known for state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities which is lacking in the part of FMS. The quality of college life is a crucial determining factor for any B School. IIM Calcutta offers a holistic B School experience.
- Brand value: Sole of the most eminent personalities like Indra Nooyi and Ramachandra Guha, have graduated from IIM Calcutta improving its overall brand name. This branch-name comes into play while setting up your own business.
- Alumni network: IIM Calcutta gives access to the elaborate IIM Calcutta alumni base.
- Entrepreneurship: Another major perk of IIM Calcutta is its IIMCIP or innovation park to incubate promising startups. It has produced alumni like Ajit Balakrishnan (founder of Rediff.com) who have started and led successful companies.
FMS too has an elaborate list of successful alumni but IIM Calcutta is clearly a winner here.
