How is IIM Sambalpur? Is it worth joining IIM sambalpur or should I go for BIM Trichy? What are the pros and cons?
IIM Sambalpur and BIM Trichy, both these institutes should be approached only when all doors are closed and you are left with zero options. Both colleges have poor placement scenarios and almost no brand name. The fees you will pay are not worth risking your 2 years for. If you are confident that you can get a better percentile next year please sit for CAT again and go for a better college. But if you are not confident about the same, and only have these two options, go for BIM Trichy. The reasons I have chosen BIM Trichy over IIM Sambalpur are -
- Older than IIM Sambalpur and thus has a stronger alumni base
- Better relations with the industry
I know only 2 trivial points are not enough to justify a college worth. What you can further do is talk to the current students or alumni of both colleges. Relying on placement reports is not enough so interacting with its students will give you a clearer picture maybe.
Which is better Andhra university or Osmania university ?
Osmania University is historical! OU is not only about placements or quality of education, but also about the value of that education you get during your study there.

Does ragging happen at NIT Jamshedpur?
No, there is no ragging happening at NIT Jamshedpur. I have one of my cousins study at NIT Jamshedpur. I can tell you the ragging scenario there.
Seniors of NIT Jamshedpur are very helpful. But you must not misbehave with your seniors. They only visit freshers class when there is some important information to convey.
As a fresher, you may face a little difficulty while sports meet. You have to be in the parade group if you are not participating in games seriously. It turns out to be tough for students who cannot get up early in the cold morning. Seniors will call you for exercising on a cold morning. However, sports practice should not skip as they are as important as your academics.
You can have fun with seniors without getting rude. It is okay to have fun with them.
Therefore, you can join NIT Jamshedpur without any worries as no ragging has taken place till now.
Who are some of the unappreciated people in IIIT- Allahabad?
There are no specific people who are left unacknowledged at IIIT Allahabad. Students like you and others, who have ever studied in IIITA, have never been appreciated for the prestigious job that they did to add up the reputation of the institute.
All students are the assets of any institute, but IIITA does not recognize all students through the same bar. Even the guards and administrative clerks get more value than the bright students in the form of alumni, who bring glory to the institute.
Management of College:
- The management of the college does not give worth to the alumni. Every alumnus desires to aid their Alma Mater. Many good coders and computer scientists have brought fame to this institute, because of which some of the good companies visit the campus and place the potential students.
- Most of the institutes have “Alumni Meets” to keep in touch with the alumni. The institutes give out awards to those who have achieved heights in society. Even the administration of IIITA never maintains the record of these alumni.
In IIITA, sportspersons are also not appreciated. The college is rigid in granting permissions to the sports team to go and participate in the tournaments. It is money-minded. Here, no one will pat the back of students even if they perform the best, be it sports or academics. Therefore, all students who in some or the other way contributed to the college are those unappreciated bunch.
Which is better, IIIT Sri City or JNTU Hyderabad? Is IIIT a low standard when compared to JNTU Hyderabad?
IIIT Sri City is better than JNTU Hyderabad. It has a better peer group which is reflected in the higher cutoff requirements. IIIT Sri City follows the course structure and curriculum of IIIT Hyderabad. So, you will receive better learning and resources.
The institute has maintained an excellent placement record over the years. Companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Amazon, etc. take part in IIIT Sri City placements. The average CTC offered is around INR 6 LPA.
Is Dyal Singh College better than Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College?
Dyal Singh College (DSC) is a really good college. The cut offs for Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (DDUC) for B.Com (Hons) is higher than DSC.
- SC has one of the best locations in India. It is situated in Lodhi road which is considered to be the most expensive residence.
- It is close to Khan market which is the most expensive market in india.
- It is behind the JLN Stadium, which has the closest metro station.
- The campus of DSC is huge and spacious.
- The infrastructure is maintained and taken care of almost every year.
- They have a better faculty than DDUC.
Lastly, it is advised that you choose the college on the basis of a course you want to pursue. At last you will realize that college hardly matters. Because during placements your skills will make you stand out and not the college name.
How is college life at NSIT Delhi?
NSUT Delhi offers a dynamic and vibrant college life. The college spreads over a huge campus that is surrounded by lush greenery and peacocks flying around.
The college gives equal importance to academics and extracurricular activities and has various societies that promote fun activities such as dance, music, drama, fashion, debating, etc. A few societies like CSI, IEEE, and BHR promote educational and technical skills. You always have something to do or explore here and won’t get bored even for a moment.
Another source of great fun and enthusiasm is parties. First-year students get 2 freshers, an official and an unofficial one. The intercollege cultural fest Resonanz brings another wave of enjoyment to the campus. This is followed by the intercollege technical fest Innovision and the cultural fest Moksha. These are held on a huge scale and students can be seen involved in fun activities for 4-5 days.
Overall NSUT offers a very happening college life that will give you some of the best memories and friends to cherish for life.
What is the rank of IIIT Hyderabad in India?
IIIT Hyderabad is of the best institutions for CSE, IIIT Hyderabad is among the top universities in terms of infrastructure, placements, internships, and overall quality. I don’t know if you are talking about official rankings or the generally perceived rankings by the public. Nevertheless, I will mention both.
In the country-wide ranking, IIIT Hyderabad was ranked 62 by NIRF for Engineering and #101- 150 in the overall category.

- CSE: This branch is considered the best given its high packages and guarantee of placements. In fact, if you are working hard you can even land your dream job.
- Mechanical and Electrical: If you are after core jobs, then these branches are the best for you. A large number of companies offering core profiles visit the campus. However, recently ML, DL, and AI have gained popularity and thus most Mechanical students are opting for these fields and also conducting research in the same. Basically, this branch to enjoys a high level of placements.
- IEOR and Applied Statistics and Informatics: All these branches have pretty good placements and almost 100% of students get placed in these branches.
- IDC - The placements for this branch are conducted separately and the chances of placements are also low in comparison to other branches.
Other branches such as Civil, Chemical, Aerospace, and MEMS: The placements of these miscellaneous branches change every year and depend on 2 main factors, market scenario and the companies visiting the campus for placements. The Placement percentage in these branches varies from 85% to even 50%
How should one get summer internship at IIM Bangalore?
You can intern under a professor of IIM Bangalore or at the NS Raghavan Entrepreneurship Cell (NSRCEL). NSRCEL offers great real-time internship opportunities. You can reach out to the faculties of IIMB or the mentors of NSRCEL.
If you are interested in a research internship, go through the ongoing research projects, and if any particular project piques your interest, reach out to the professor. Explain your interests and send over your resume and a cover letter. You will be accepted for the internship if they think you are a good fit for the internship.
