Which is better for CSE among IIIT Vadodara, PDPU, Nirma, or DAIICT?
Universities like PDPU, IIIT-Vadodara, DAIICT, NIRMA, are the best universities in the state. All four have their advantages and few flaws. To compare we must look at every available aspect for better results.
Ranking:
- PDPU University is a member of AIU and is NAAC accredited with an 'A' grade & CGPA of 3.39 out of 4.0. It’s NIRF ranking is 55th and 1st in Gujarat.
- DAIICT is Ranked 111 according to NIRF
- Nirma University is ranked 136 according to NIRF
Admissions:
PDPU:
- For admission in B.Tech, one must secure 45% marks in Intermediate Examination with a valid score in GUJCET and JEE Main.
- Last year cut off for GUJCET was Round 2 | rank 1489. For JEE Main it changes per year and according to university.
- A total of 180 seats are available per course.
- The course fee is almost 9.50 lakhs.
Nirma University:
- For admission in B.Tech one must secure 45% marks in Intermediate Examination with a valid score in GUJCET and JEE Main.
- Last year cut off for GUJCET was Round 2 | rank 524. For JEE Main it changes per year and according to university.
- A total of 270 seats are available per course.
- The course fee is almost 7.24 lakhs.
IIIT Vadodara:
- For admission in B.Tech, one must secure 75% marks in Intermediate Examination with a valid score in JEE Main.
- Last year cut off for JEE Main was Round 7 | rank 28,524.
- A total of 220 seats are available per course.
- The course fee is almost 6.58 lakhs.
DAIICT:
- For admission in B.Tech, one must secure 50% marks in the Intermediate Examination.
- One must have cracked JEE Mains, for admission.
- A total of 18 seats are available per course.
- The course fee is almost 7.28 lakhs.

As these Universities are not very old, so the infrastructure is equivalent to a highly facilitated campus and mesmerizing space. Comparing the four according to these statistics, we can say IIIT-Vadodara may surpass all in a few years, but PDPU and DAIICT are not far behind. NIRMA University having larger diversity among all four is a little behind in technical courses.
Which is better St. Xavier's College Kolkata or St. Xavier's University Kolkata?
St. Xavier’s College Kolkata is one of the most popular colleges in the country. It is an old college with a strict and disciplined curriculum. The college has a proven track record of offering excellent academics and co-curricular.
St. Xavier’s University is a new university and is still in the early stages of development. It won’t be fair to compare the two institutions at this stage.
Which college is better for a BA in psychology Symbiosis or Fergusson College?
In my opinion, Symbiosis is better. As a lot of my friends studied at Symbiosis, I might be able to provide you with some information about the college.
- The course material is extensive and the staff is quite friendly. On the other hand, Fergusson is just mismanaged.
- The course material at Symbiosis is such that it also covers small parts of the Master’s course material.
- The faculty encourages you to refer to study materials outside of the course outline which is very healthy.
- Also, the Honours programs have a good reputation and the symbiosis brand itself is well-recognized.
- They will add value to your resume and also build a good foundation if you wish to do a Master’s Degree.
As Symbiosis is a private institute, the fees will considerably be higher than Fergusson. But it is good to invest in a college which will give you a proper and industry-oriented education. So Symbiosis won't be a bad choice.
Is YMCA or Kurukshetra University better than IPU?
One of my friends studied at YMCA while my sister studied at IPU. I can share their experiences and let's see who won:
- YMCA receives a lot of good companies each year.
- IPU receives IT firms most often with a package of INR 3.25 LPA. The only highlight of IPU is Microsoft.
- As a CS or IT, you will find it to your liking. In YMCA Amazon, Maruti, Adobe, Snapdeal, Yamaha, and many more reputed companies come to hire B.Tech graduates.
Placement is what matters to most, however, it's not the only parameter of comparison but because YMCA tops in placements which is an essential factor nevertheless, it wins!
How is the campus and surroundings of NIT Jamshedpur?
If you are expecting a magnificent campus that will leave you in awe with its beauty and infrastructure then you can lower your expectations because NIT Jamshedpur is nothing like that. You might even get disappointed with the campus on your very first day. However, the administration is slowly working to bring about small changes in the campus and infrastructure.
- The hostel facilities are the best in the country especially since the new Mega Hostels offering single occupancy rooms have come into function. The hostels are well-maintained and are cleaned regularly to ensure hygienic conditions. The mess food is also better than many others.
- Although the campus is remotely located, the basic needs and amenities of the students are catered to by nearby stores like ‘NIT Store’ or ‘Shyam Da Store’.
- The campus is surrounded by lush greenery. The roads leading to the campus are well-constructed making the commute an easier process.
Overall, the campus and surroundings of NIT Jamshedpur are great and once you start studying here you will grow emotionally attached to the campus such that its minor flaws won’t even matter.
Where can I find the previous year NIT Kurukshetra papers of all semesters?
The previous year's NIT Kurukshetra papers are not available on the Internet. You have to visit the college library personally and use the college network.

Are the placements in School of Management Studies CUSAT any good?
Majority of students choose an MBA to get a good job. SMS, CUSAT satisfies your job requirements quite well. Why have you not opted for MAMC KGMC UCMS VMMC through the NEET instead opted for AIIMS Bhopal?
People opt for AIIMS Bhopal over medical colleges like MAMC, KGMC, UCMS, and VMMC because of their personal preferences and have no grudge against these colleges. The two main reasons why someone would choose AIIMS are because of the AIIMS tag and their readiness to work hard for PG entrance exams.
Academically, all the aforementioned colleges are at the same level even in terms of infrastructure, facilities, and opportunities. Honestly, an MBBS from most medical colleges is similar with little changes. Most colleges provide a similar experience and it’s in PG that the college actually matters. Someone has rightly said that many average colleges produce great doctors while some great colleges produce average doctors. So yes, the institute matters but not to the extent that your career is hampered in any way.
Always remember Mediocre colleges can produce excellent doctors and excellent colleges can produce mediocre doctors. It’s the decision you make and the skills you acquire that make you a successful doctor and not the institute.
How is Freedom In AIIMS Patna?
This depends on what you consider as ‘freedom’. But one thing I got to know from the reviews online is that in AIIMS Patna there are not many restrictions for the students.
- You are actually allowed to live your life to a great extent.
- But do not expect much in the first year, since you are just getting started. After that, it is just a cakewalk.
- You can roam around the campus and find your way. Although it is basic etiquette to greet your professors when you meet them on campus.
- It is a great thing that you can also visit in the OPD blocks, talk to the patients or even seniors and teachers who are posted there until and unless you are wearing an apron.
- Likewise, you have access to the administrative building and library as well 24*7 with your apron on.
- You can even go out at night time but first-year students need to be back by 9 pm sharp.
Lastly, first-year students are not allowed to fool around as couples holding hands and spending time publicly. The most important thing- boys and girls are not allowed in each other’s hostels. You will figure it out once you are not a fresher anymore. You will eventually get accustomed to it.
