Remarks

I did my Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences (B.V.Sc.) from the CVAS.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure consists of a 6 semesters program. It covers the topics from the various disciplines such as pathology, biotechnology, para-clinical, applied veterinary science, etc. and gave a basic understanding of their economics and extensions.

Placement Experience

4

Three of my batchmates were selected through on campus Placement of the University in SRIJAN (Self Reliant Initiatives through Joint Action), an NGO. Overall placement opportunities are magnificent in our college, though I went for higher studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The annual fee is around INR 15k per annum, which is pretty affordable. The college is very budget friendly and economical. They also provide financial support to the needy students and the facilities provided are also good and comprehensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarship options are also available with the college. Orphan students get free education, while the girl students also get special concession in the fee structure.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very mundane in our college. Only national holidays like Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Ambedkar Jayanti are celebrated in our college. Apart from that campus life is pretty ordinary.

Admission

My admission was on the basis of common counseling conducted by RAJUVAS university, which allot seats on the basis of merit list prepared on the basis of entrance scores.

Faculty

4

The faculty are very supportive and helpful throughout our session. They are very accessible and at the same time care about the future of the students. I shared a very good bond with the faculty members and learned a lot from them, especially during the field visits and practical classes. Guest faculties are also invited on

Course Curriculum Overview:

For me, from my childhood,I was impressed to this course, since my father was related to veterinary and animal husbandry. So for me being a veterinary doctor is not a new thing. Curriculum is relevant to the course. It is completely according to the RAJUVAS and the instructions given by the Veterinary council of India. The curriculum on the theory basis gives an idea about the course, but the practical curriculum gives us an idea about the real life applications to be practiced as a doctor. Since, i am 1st year, i am not able to suggest the improvements related to the curriculum. The course on an average is difficult, the frequency and timings of the exams are accurate and perfect based on the difficulty level giving as time for better preparation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Vsc and AH is a five and a half year unndergrad program, in which you will study about the animal, their diagnosis, treatment, nutrition, genetic development and what not. You will study about Ruminants, Dogs, Cats Horses, Birds, Lab Animals as well as Captie wild animals also. You will be facing three internal exams along with externals. They can be tough but the trick is learning, sitting for tests and revision. This program may seem easy but it is more tough and complex than any other medical program, as you will be dealing with multiple animal species at a time.
