Remarks
As such there are no negetives to talk about our college, but there is always a room for improvement. The college is situated in the heart of the town, so there is limitations for its area for students to relax, walk and to roam around. Both in case of academics as well as curricular activities st thomas is top in Kerala with 55th rank in NAAC all over India.
Course Curriculum Overview
The academic structure is really nice where the methods and teaching of each subject is well presented. Exam and results unlike the other colleges are in right time with proper facilities. Usually the timetable is announced one week back and there are one or more days of gap between exam which enables Students to prepare well. The seminar, attendence and assignment in between the semester contributes twenty internal marks to the main exam. The academic performance of st thomas is well efficient and on high level of standard.
Placement Experience
I'm proud that st Thomas college has different cell such as placement cell where students are informed about various opportunities and job placement across the world. Various programs such as internships and training programs are frequently conducted in our college. I have personally attended two internships and three training programs and one job placement through my college.
College Events
St thomas college has been the number one college in promoting sports in India as well as cultural and arts inside and outside the cumpus. Each month in our college as a story to tell about the programs and events conducted. There are almost over 30 clubs and cells for various events. The winning steak and prizes won by the college is the best evidence for it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Unlike the other college, st thomas college does not take too much of fees or donations from the students. It is really feasible for students for their tuition fee during the course. The regular college has a different level of fee payment compared to self financing block.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are various schemes and programmes to lift up poor and students who are really good at their skills. Many of my friends have applied for various scholarships and as also gained effective results from it.
Campus Life
The 2019 award for the best college for promoting sport was won by st thomas. Also the college has been a shinning star in almost all competitions with a large number of prizes. St.thomas college is one of the college who promotes and conducts various programs and events both cultural and social to uplift the standards of students as well as society even with so many limits.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is close to our cumpus where there is strict management and schedule that helps students to maintain a disciplinary life. Hostel Life is really good at st Thomas where students are given proper time schedules.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students really miss their old campus, most of them have been placed in various job through campus placement conducted within as well as outside the campus of st thomas in various sectors such as banks, private companies, global companies etc.
Admission
After my +2 result were out, i went to st Thomas college to take up the application form which was filled in with required details and submitted on that day itself. Through a frequent enquiry, i got admitted after a few day by letting me know through a phone call after half a month of reopening.
Faculty
Each person is different from each so does the faculties in st thomas. Each of them has their own style and method of teaching and understanding. There are various departments for each subjects and faculties form together like a family that stand as pillars of the college.
