Course Curriculum Overview

Btech is the best course for the student who have technical skills. So in my opinion you don’t interested in technical base drop the plan of taking this course. In this course having 64 papers. No easy to get.

Placement Experience

Now the placement and job opportunities are increasing than when i am studying. The college not providing any type of internships. Internships are should be done in out of college. Most IT companies are come in college for placement and jobs.

College Events

About the events and celebrations are very best. Many type of technical festivals are going on each semesters. And arts festivals, sports , football tournaments , cricket etc. Technical festivals are the best event in my view.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not feasible also not expensive. Colleges having different fee structure for different course. And also the management and merit fee are different and NRI. In merit the fee are varying with entrance rank. And management fee are fixed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many type of scholarships are provide the college. And loan facility offering by college. Scholarship for BTech students is awarded INR 1000 per month with benefit of free tuition fee per semester to a maximum of 25% of sanctioned candidates throughout the degree.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities also help students to expand their network, which is beneficial for finding career opportunities after graduation. About labs and workshops are very good and proper machines are available. Supporting for sports.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I opted for hostel. It is a college hostel. Good and best hostel and also facilities is better. Tow buildings are there. One for first year students and other for second , third and fourth year students. Mess , water , electricity etc are available.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni relations is an important part of an institution's advancement activities for many reasons: Alumni are an institution's most loyal supporters. Alumni are fundraising prospects. They take their knowledge of your institution to their hometowns and countries and into their professional and social networks.

I have an interview on that college then got it. It’s a normal interview section. So I answered some questions they asked. First step for admission process is register with the all details and previous academic details.

Faculty

In this college faculties are very good. Because they are very supporting and teaching with their best. And principal are the correct person for that position. And other staff like administrators is good.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I choose btech cse cause it was the trending course at that time and I was computer science student in my high school so it was best for me to choose btech cse at that time. And I believe it cold be a great career choice

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

This college was not my first preferrence. I had first chosen college of engineering, palakkad at civil branch. But I had to change my plan as I had heard about the boom of Cybersecurity and my interest towards technology. And at that time, there were only 3 colleges where Cyber Security was offered, I was rejected from Muthoot Engineering College due to not reaching the engineering rank the had hoped for and I chose Ilahia College in a spur of a moment cause it was near to my home and had a great review. Ilahia college life

I chose to attend this college because Ilahia had a good background of excellence in B. Tech and almost every student from the college gets placed to reputed companies. For getting admission into Ilahia there are some criteria first of all you need to secure at least 60 percent marks in plus two board examinations to get admission in management quota and for merit, you need to wait for allotments of the keam. The reason of preferring this college over other because Ilahia had a good set of highly talented and excellent teachers and staff which makes students very comfortable with their studies and they provide scholarships to student who secured high marks in plus two and keam. The college has almost every facilities for students. Library and labs highly advanced technologies are used. For accommodation facilities, the college provides hostels inside the campus itself with a mess . The hostel also has good facilities. Overall I love this college.
