Remarks
Overall, the college has a positive enviornment with a set of quality students. The placements are good. The curriculum should be modified, so as to have proper weightage to Sports and another curricular activities. Also, the syllabus must include comparatively new technologies which are getting used in the market.
Course Curriculum Overview
I feel that the course curriculum is not upto the mark. We are learning technologies which are out dated, and not directly useful in the industry. Exam structure is fine, which includes 8 semesters, and frequent assignments and tests. Still, if these assignments are more practical, it would be very helpful.
Placement Experience
The placements are good compared to the other colleges of the city. But one major issue is, that if you get placed in one of the companies then you are not allowed to sit in any further placements or campus drives. Also, there is a minimum requirement of 75% attendance. So I had an opportunity of internship with Microsoft, but I couldn't take it. There was no semester free for doing internships.
College Events
The overall life at medicaps is very exciting, with many events such as Dandiya night, the annual tech fest by the name Moonstone, which goes on for 3 days. We have celebrations for festivals, birthdays etc. So overall, yeah we do enjoy these thoroughly.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is not very high, but it is not very nominal as well. It is average when compared to the other colleges of city. But if we talk about the admission by donation, it is very high. Hostel fees is also okay.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college and the University gives a scholarship of INR 20 thousand, to the students who get maximum marks in any of the subject. So for every subject, every year, this amount is given to the students.
Campus Life
The sports in the college includes cricket ground, badminton court, and a basketball court. These are pretty good. Labs includes Physics, Chemistry, Civil engineering, Mechanics lab, workshops, Electricals lab etc. All the labs are decent with average quality equipments.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors and the alumnus network is strong. We have diversified alumnus in different companies, Business schools, which are very helpful. There are many seniors, who are situated in different countries, who help out anyone moving abroad for studied.
Admission
I appeared in the JEE Mains exam, which was focused on 3 subjects : Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. I scored 135 marks in it and qualified for the JEE advance exam, which unfortunately I couldn't crack. In the first round of the counselling, I got this college.
Faculty
I would say that most of the faculties in the college are really good. They have profound knowledge of the subjects and other capable enough to clear all the doubts that we have. Some of the faculties are excellent where you they very much technically sound. They helped me write and publish many research papers.
