Remarks

No Negative remark. You will definately enjoy the mountains here here are many club of adventure activities like mountain biking, hikig and trekking approx every Saturday they organise trek on some peak. That is for health too.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is not that good for certain branches which are newer. Because they are just started and less number of faculties. You can choose the branches like CS and EE they are old branches here not in the world.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement and job opportunities are good for several branches not for civil and mechanical, college will not help for them.if you are in Computer science there are more chances you got placed, so before choose college do some research.

College Events

Exodia IIT Mandi- Inter college cult cum tech fest Rann-neeti IIT Mandi- Inter college sport fest Aakarshan- Intra college cultural fest Aagman- Intra college tech fest Utkarsh - Intra college tech fest

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes fee Structure is feasible for all students, Education load is easily available to you without interest, after you getting job you can pay. Good service of banks here. In Mandi you can do your documents work.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are plenty of scholarship and loan facility these depends of your parents monthly income. SBI offers education load free of interest, till you study for more information you can search on internet.

Campus Life

In College you will definately got extra curricular activities like sports if you're interested in some particular sport like cricket hockey table tennis, lawn tennis, badminton chess, volleyball, basketball etc. There are more scope for you to represent yourself and at national leve.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are very helpful ever one needs guidance to achieve succes in life so there are important because they have more experience than us. In placements or our day today life, resolving us from problem they are helpful.

Admission

Clearing JEE mains and Advance in which now main conducted 2 times in a year, advance once in a year. First you much qualify for advance because they have certain criterias for those students who can seat for Advance.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties are very knowledgeable here they are friendly. You should always touch with the faculty. They help in placement and internship, also in your projects. Project matters so you need faculties for guidance.

If you have strong academics

Likes

Infrastructure and quality of education and supportive professor for building our success career
Very supportive atmosphere for growth in any engineer branch
Very good approach towards creativity innovations and practical projects

Dislikes

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

Likes

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Very less internship and placement option

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

I like the fact that professors teach relatively better than degree college
I also like the infrastructure of the institute
I like the sporta event that takes place

Dislikes

I dont like the quality of food that is provided in the mess
Also the room size is relatively small
I also dont like the fact the online food delivery is limited to campus gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is good after first year. But in the first year a student has to study the basic subjects of all the branchs which is not needed

very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

IIT Mandi- my home and karmbhoomi

Honestly I initially thought of branch change and college in some what cold place which led me to this college. Our college is moderate in comparison to other iits, obviously you cant compare it with old iits , but yeah its decent enough, having good students and friends. Placement of four college is better than other iits. Some years result in placement ogf good no. of students whereas some leads to okish. The sport facilities are ok. Swimming pool is not of olympic size and it requires lot of time for repair of the sport equipments. Admission process is through Jossa counselling after JEE Advanced. I applied for VIT, NIT BHOPAL, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Jammu, IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, NIT Durgapur, and many of the IITS and NITS. I choose only this so, didn't fill for confirmation for others. No I hadn't got rejection. Eligibility of my college is JEE Advanced cutoff abnd min 75 % in 12th....Read More

IIT Mandi

Because I am from Himachal, IIT Mandi was one of my top choices, and there was a certain optimistic feeling that drew me in after seeing the campus. The college is the IIT family's newest member. According to the new IIT, the college's placement record is excellent, and the staff is well-known for its innovative teaching methods. IIT Mandi offered a fantastic M.Tech in Power Electronics and Drives programme, which was just what I was looking for. To be accepted into the college, an applicant must pass the GATE exam and earn at least 60% in the B.Tech programme. After passing the GATE, the candidate must attend COAP counselling....Read More
