Remarks

The overall assessment shows that the college shoes a highly supportive nature towards curricular activities and less interest in arts-related activities. But the college union and students have resolved the issues recently.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Kerala Technological University's curriculum is mostly of an outcome-based learning structure. B.tech courses consist of 4 years each having two semesters and two internal exams and labs per semester. 75% attendance is necessary for each semester to attend the semester exam.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements from reputed companies such as Mercedes, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Maruti, Kirloskar, IBM, IFB, etc. are regular placement providers in addition to other small scale companies. The college doesn't give its own internship but there is an advanced diploma course for automobile engineering provided in collaboration with the Mercedes Benz.

College Events

4

Mainly The technocultural fest AAGNEYA is celebrated in the month of March. Arts fest known as Sargam is also conducted each year. The purely technical festival is also conducted by all the technical societies working in the college known as FortyTwo.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The government Merit seat fee is less than 7000 per semester. This is even lower for reserved category students. Since it is a Government college, the overall fee structure is cheap and affordable for a middle-class student.

Fees and Financial Aid

Any scholarship provided by the government is applicable. Students of reserved category get E grant money and other supports from the government. The loan facility is not there. Scholarships are provided by technical societies as well.

Campus Life

3.5

There is a bit of limitation in lab infrastructure but there are more than 25 different labs that function separately for each department. Labs are useful for graduate as well as pg-level students. There is no playground but there is a tennis court within the premises and a stadium nearby which can be used for sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is available for girls only. There are two large hostel blocs within the premises of the college for girls. Boys' hostel is not provided. The two hostels are near to the campus so that students can avail the Library facility anytime they wish.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni association also conducts programs that help the students with placement-related works. Senior students are also helpful for any technical or non-technical works. Various programs are organized under them.

Admission

After the Kerala Engineering Entrance exam, you can opt for colleges of your choice in the preferable order. There will be a total of 4 allotment lists starting from the trial allotment. If you get allotted to a less preferred college in an allotment you can further apply for a change of college among the higher options you set previously. After allotment, you can get admission to the college within the specified time.

Faculty

4.5

Experienced and highly qualified faculty who have great expertise and knowledge in the corresponding field. They show great interest in supporting the students in curricular as well as extracurricular activities.

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.
