My SKB Review

Our college has a pretty decent curriculum that is centered around the financial sector, primarily. Our program was a dual specialization program that really allowed us to to be specialized in two different areas of management. Over the period of four semesters, we learned subjects like business management, economics, financial management, human resource management, operations, etc. The last two semesters include a blend of specialization subjects and additional subjects that were common for the students of all stream.

The placement record is pretty decent in our college. Almost 60% of the students were placed before the final exams. While some other students either went for their family business or personal ventures. During my batch, companies like ICICI, HDFC, etc. led the placement drives organized at our campus. The highest package offered went as high as 3-4 LPA and the average package is around INR 2 LPA.

Numerous events and activities are organized throughout the year at the SKG, Gurgaon campus. The session starts with the orientation day as the first event to be organized. Numerous other events like teachers' day, sports day, Gandhi Jayanti, and endless festive celebrations are celebrated with the utmost joy.

My annual fee was a little over 1 Lacs per year which was to be paid on a semester-wise basis. This fee included my tuition fee, registration fee, examination fee, caution fee, etc. In total, I paid around 2 lacs for the entire course which was pretty nominal for an MBA program. Apart from that, there were no hidden charges.

The SKB college offers admission on the basis of the management level entrance exam approved by AICTE. I applied through my MAT scores. Students qualifying the entrance exam cut-off are invited to attend the counseling process which includes a basic GDPI round. After that, the admission process is pretty smooth and the entire administration was very supportive throughout the admission process.

Our faculty members are good, especially for the finance and operation area. Every concept is taught based on case studies. Our corporate cell invites the industry experts of different subjects so that we can relate theoretical concepts to practical scenarios. In that way, we would also get industry exposure and it also helped to stay abreast of the latest industry updates.
