CAT. I had scored 99. 77 percentile. Because of messed up 12 th marks, I had options of IIM Trichy, IIM Kashipur, IIM ranchi as well. I chose this institute because of it's location. Only IIM in the ncr region.
Course Curriculum Overview
The three trimesters in the first year was common for all where subjects related to marketing, HR, finance, strategy and operations were taught. Later I chose operations and marketing. Marketing electives were - advertisement, sales promotion, consumer behavior, internet marketing, b2b marketing, market research, statistics in marketing etc. In operations we had inventory management, supplier selection, General supply chain management, lean manufacturing etc.
Internships Opportunities
I was selected in tetrapak for marketing research. The general trend and stipend is good. Average was around 60k for two months. I received 50k for two months. The college facilitates well for the placement.
Placement Experience
All the students were placed. Average salary stood at around 10 lakh per annum. Top 50 received an average of 13lakh per annum. Top100 average was around 11. 5 lakhs. Only Iim in the ncr region helps a lot.
College Events
Almost all the festivals are celebrated by the student bodies. It includes Holi, Diwali, ID, Onam, dussehra, Christmas, pongal, guru parab, Ganesh chaturthi etc. Also college organises an annual technical, management and sports fest - Infusion. The last year's participation was around 1200. Apart from this, clubs organise small technical competitions throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total course fee is in time of 10 lakhs which is very much affordable. One can easily get loans. Sbi, Icici offer loans on the first day of joining.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship facility for top performers. The fee is completely waived for the topper in the first year and overall. For second and third, it is 75% and 50% respectively.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is envious fir many colleges. It was 47% in my batch and 41% in the immediate junior batch. Three hostel parties are held every year. Sports facilities are excellent and we represent in many events. Also an annual cultural and sports event is held.
Hostel Facilities
It is a transit campus as of now. So the facilities are not that great. Hostels are nice and well maintained but are two-bedded. Sports facilities are excellent. By excellent I mean it is way above the other colleges. This is because of location. Haryana
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is weak because it is a new IIM. But efforts are being taken to connect with all the passed out 4 batches. An alumni committee has been formed fir the same fir which the existing and passed out batches coordinate.
Exam Structure
Only a few days were hectic. Rest were pretty much chilled. Two exams in a day for first three trimester - mid sem and end sem. The next three trimester had enough gas between papers.
Faculty
I won't say the faculty were great, but they were decent. Some had many accolades and published papers. They were very much approachable. Guest faculties from IIM A, Iim L, mdi etc also visited for certain subjects. These faculty were very good.
