There are a lot of facilities available for the student's overall growth. Students are required to take up an extracurricular activity in the first year of college as a part of the curriculum. Students can also do minor courses in a department of their choice, having met certain criteria.
The course structure is well planned. However the execution is not guaranteed. It depends on the prof what he wants to teach and hence each batch will have different experience in each course. As for the exams, most of the design courses don't have exams but students are graded for assignments and projects.
I do not have experience of it, or have knowledge about it. There are semester exchange programmes. This takes place in the 4th year. Students are required to do summer internships as a part of their curriculum.

The senior students are really helpful while living on campus as they have already encountered and dealt with the problems that exist for us. So it really helps if you talk to your seniors of you're stuck somewhere.
Had an entrance exam UCEED which is of 300 marks. It has 3 sections. They are mcq type questions. It is conducted in January and results come out in February- March. This is when we get to know our rank. Once you have the score card, one needs to apply on the uceed portal with the necessary documents and details. After the application is done, 3 allotment lists are released. If you get allotted a college in the first list but want a better college then you have the option to float or accept the college you got allotted. Once you passed your 7th semester then you are eligible for campus placement. For campus placement your academic score should be good your attendance should be up to the mark and you have to participate in other social activities. Some government job is also provided for you. There are so many companies who visit NIFT every year companies like Raymond, Siyaram, Arvind mills visit there. Even you can take a job in Amazon, Flipkart, Zabong and on so many digital platforms. Even you can start your own website or if you are rich enough then you can open your own company. Almost 90% of students got campus placement as you are studying in one of the best colleges in India. My plan is to open my own website and work for it.
I don't know much about the placements and all, but they are definitely good. No doubt. The students here do go for internships. My plans after getting a degree is to go for masters. Maybe, if possible, do some part-time job and do my masters along.
I was also worried about the job opportunities After pursuing an interior designing course. However, the reputation of ITM University helped me get shortlisted for the right jobs pretty soon.
