Remarks

Positive- Academics, extra curricular activities, faculties.student freedom.Aluminus activities are good. Negative- Infrastructure, delay of proceedings due to governantal organisation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure is average for me.Because its syllabus contains old theories and all.New technologies and theories should be included. Some subjects are interesting but some was very boring.Mtech elective subject is also included in the Btech programme.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are only average.IT sector is the major recruiter. The Syllabus quality is the major reason for the recruiters to decelerate the recruiting process. So Non-IT branch also getting placed in IT company.College is not providing internship.

College Events

4.5

Aagneya is the techno cultural festival in the College.Completed 12 years.Arts and sports day aldo conducted in every academic year.Fest recognise state wide attention by bud events anfd all.Students are well participants.

Fee Structure And Facilities

9000.Feasible.As its a government College.Fee is very feasible for all.It is very feasible as compared to other private Colleges. So all tyoe of students can pursue their studies. By this amount the College providing good academics.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship by College.i am getting central government scholarship. As the fee structure is feasible no one is opting for education loan. Additional fees included in hostel fees and all.So no scholarship by College.

Campus Life

College having equal ratios studen party organisation also present.Cultural societies like arts club, dance clubs also present. Many cultural activities are taking place in the College.Much participation of students making good events.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

College Having no mens hostel.Only girls hostel in the College campus. They are having Sharing homes.Less rent.Having average mess and all.its infrastructure is average. As there is no mens hostel boys have to look for private facilities.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors was so good.they always try to convey their ideas to the juniors which is a good thing.most of them are also places in good companies. So thier financial support was also good.By them we are getting many contacts.

Admission

I have admission in this College by an entrance examination conducted by KEAM a body in Kerala Government.I have got 2414 rank.So I choose my desired branch.Admission was through allotment porocess.I got this College in my second allotment.

Faculty

4.5

Permanent faculties are well qualified.Temporary faculties on contract basis is not up to the level due to lack of experience. They are not much interested in extra curricular activities.Labs and all are very interesting.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

The students here are from everywhere so there is a big diversity in the culture

Dislikes

There is a lack of public transportation system like railway station here
There are lots of insects and others things here which is very disturbing during summer season
The main problem the students here are going through is the bad quality of hostel food that we get here

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

G.E.C. PALAMU : A. Brief Overview .

Actually I applied in Chandigarh University , KIIT , SRM, and Quantum University . I even. Done the formalities of Quantum University but when the result of JCECEB COUNSELING came I took decision to take admission in this college as for now I think my decision is good . This college first of all government aided which provides a way better option than other private colleges which I opted for . Also this college might not compare with the other private colleges which I mentioned in so called renowned facilities but still we can get all basic facilities here . And all the above the fees here is very much affordable as compared to all the colleges which I mentioned in my list . Means all your engineering course will be completed in about 5 lakhs . which is very much less as compared to even NIT and IIT. For admission you have to give either jee mains or you can give JCECEB exam but you have to sit in JCECEB COUNSELING to get this college .all information you will get from the youtube about the councelling...Read More
