Sruthi Menon's Review On Government Law College - [GLC], Thrissur

Each year the LLB course admits 100 students. The course curriculum is spread over a period of five years spreading across 10 semesters and 60 papers. Since this is an integrated course, the course gets completed an year in advance. There is also a project and moot court in the final year.

There are only limited placement opportunity for students. There is an internship at the end of the course for students and most of them find the intern slots via seniors or their own sources. Some of the students get placed and help other students too.

The college celebrates major festivals like onam and freshers party. There is also a farewell party organized for seniors of the college by the second year students which is celebrated in a large manner. Apart from this, there is also moot courts and seminars that get organized.

The college fee per semester is around 4000 and there is also an exam fee that has to be paid each semester. Some of the students also get grants and they are able to continue the course free of cost. The fee is very less compared to many private colleges offering the same course.

There are many extra curricular activities that are conducted in the college. The students are actively taking part in many of the inter college competitions and events. Some events happen in the college all year round.

I got admission into this college via the common entrance exam KLEE which is conducted by Kerala government. To qualify for the law course, a minimum of 45% marks is necessary in the 12th std examination.

Most of the faculty in the college have doctorate degree and are very experienced. The students should ask appropriate questions and get the best out of the faculty. They also conduct tests and seminars for assessing the students.
