Remarks
particularly in my case, I considered the financial factor also for my graduation. GEC Bharuch was considered a top-rated institute under GTU with minimum fees possible, so rather than spending 4-5 lakhs of rupees in private institutes, I preferred joining a government institute because the fees here is the minimum you will find in entire Gujarat and also you get to study in a top-rated institute. I had some friends already there before I joined the institute, and they considered the faculty there the best and most qualified. every professor was either a post-graduate in engineering or ph.d. in some program. There were many faculties from nits also. the other factor I'd like to put in front of everyone in the infrastructure and the environment of the camus, I will definitely consider the infrastructure of my college as one of the best I have seen. coming to my program, I chose electrical engineering. I was always interested in electrical engineering so no other reason for selecting the program. from particularly my college, the mechanical and electrical engineering program was considered the best in terms of faculty and education followed by civil engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I said earlier, the faculties are the best and very friendly there. I'd definitely rate them 4.5 out of 5 for sure. in particular my college, the attendance was not compulsory which I didn't like particularly because due to this reason a lot of students skipped classes a lot which definitely affects the teaching spirit of the institute and faculties particularly. perhaps the management was pretty good for such an institute, we had regular industry visits and technical festival, sports festival, etc.
Placement Experience
Talking about placements , i'd consider my college average in that criteria. The highest package from my batch was around 6 lakhs.there is no 100% placement scenario there. the batch size were very huge and offers given were very less. The average placement would have been around 1.5 -2 lakhs. due to this reason a lot of students decided to pursue a masters degree domastically or from other country.
College Events
I'd consider the campus life average, due to not compulsory attendence a lot of students weren't even coming to the college regularly. talking about events, there is an annual function, technical festival, sports festival which were organized by students themselves. the technical and sports festival takes place in February each year, which gathers students from the entire Gujarat. The participating numbers were in thousands for sure and the certificate given for winning and participating was considered no less than any national level technical festival or sports festival.
