Remarks

As it is the best agriculture college in Maharashtra. And also it is government college, it's 110 year old college previously known as Deccan war hospital. India is an agrarian country, so it's the best option to do BSc agriculture.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was sixth curriculum , updated in 2012 but it again updated in 2017, but was not for us. As college has its own 300acre area so all practical exposure is available. But the Hi-tech polyhouse is excellent

Placement Experience

Companies like Mahindra agro, Sahyadri farms , Agrostar visited, but there is no tie-up, but there are lots of job opportunities in agriculture sector , also government jobs are available like agriculture officer in bank

College Events

Campas life is very interesting, there are different festivals, freshers party n all things are happening, about extra curricular activities, there are opportunities in state level, national level camps, research festival, youth festival some examples are Avishkar, Indradhanush, ICAR Agriunifest, Utkarsh nss cultural competition, Anveshan research festival, Avhan camp, prerana camp and many more. You just have to show interest in anything, everything is there for your support

Fees and Financial Aid

Government scholarships are available according to government policy for education, and as it is government college fees are not much more, so no one needs to take loan, you just have to get good score

Campus Life

There are two huge playground, excellent sports facilities, got top coaching from best coach in Pune district, library and labs are also very good. Labs are well equipped . But yes there is no WiFi facility atall.

Hostel Facilities

There are two sharing rooms, clean and good hostel is there, the payment is included in 9550, there is hostel mess and also private mess available near hostel area, security is good , CCTVs are there so no problem of other things

Likes

College Campus is lush green and all the amenities for students are available in the campus itself.
Supportive college staff and management.
College Infrastructure. College campus is well equipped with necessary infrastructure.

Dislikes

Less number of co curricular activities.

Placement Experience:

College conducts Campus placement drives for the last year students. Pass out students mostly prefer for higher education specially in Agriculture science or management. Most of the students are selected for government jobs as officers in various departments.

An Imaginary ideal college

Likes

College provides good support for sportsperson. A well maintained college ground without local citizen interference. A well equipped student gym. Also have all the equipments required for any sports.
A well maintained silent campus, with clean and peaceful environment, as like you would feel as if you aren't a part of outside urban Pune. A village like environment
Each department is well equipped with its intruments. All the intruments are rustless. The campus acquires a historical builduing built by Britishers.

Dislikes

The hostels are so conjusted. It is not sufficient for such large number of students.

Placement Experience:

From semester 7 students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package offered by the companies is around 15 LPA and the average offered is 5-6 LPA The percentage of students getting placements is 40% My plans after getting a degree is to establish a buisness or if got a placement in an company would continue further with it.

Admission:

Enlist on mcaer website admission based on merit basis. mhcet exam 60 percent weightage and hsc marks 40 percent weightage. admissions are giben on merit status of caste quota. the course is good and future oriented. I chose as it is near my house and is easisly reachable for bus stops and railway stations.

Dream college

Remarks:

College is best. There are very negative things about college. But the academics are on top. Teaching is extraordinary. Residential and infrastructure facilities are best. Some negative things such as there are lot of rules. And that have to be followed. But it is best.

Review about the College of agriculture latur

Remarks:

Very beautiful campus. There is a very big playground for the students. Lots of games are taken on that ground. All campus is surrounded by the green garden. There are also field plots of students for the research purpose so that students can do research. College library, hostel, canteen, mess, auditorium, badminton court everything is best

I had applied for other colleges of Agriculture field only. But for answering the question this college is located in the centre of Pune city. No, I didn't get any rejection from any college as I had this college as my first preference over all. The admission process for my college is to pass the Common Entrance Test exam conducted by Maharasthra board by acquiring a good percentage (caste wise variable) the cutoffs are like : open category - 98-99 percentile Ews category - 96-98 percentile OBC - 92 percentile ... In a Brief about College of Agriculture Pune

Eligibility - 10+2 from any recognised board with any stream in +2. You can find the application form on the MCAER website. There you can fill required details. The entrance exam of ICAR UG or MH CET is mandatory. Earlier they used to consider +2 marks also but now they've stopped. There is 1 seat reserved for the son/daughter of defence employees.
