I always wanted to be a chef and one of my relative is a alumni of this institute so he referred me. As he said he got to learn a lot of things which was helpful for his future career in the hospitality industry.
Course Curriculum Overview
The courses are very good and we get to learn a lot of things about the industry. Faculties try their best to give us all the knowledge and share their experiences in the industry to make us ready to be on the field and make a good career in the industry. The syllabus is a bit outdated but some faculty members go out of the syllabus and let us know of the updates and introduce us to the new things which is being used.
Internships Opportunities
Yes I have done my internship from JW Marriott Kolkata in the bakery section my internship was for 6 months but because of the COVID-19 pandemic it ended in three months as the property was shutdown.
Placement Experience
Our college provide us with very good options after the completion of our course a lot of 5 star properties come for campus interviewing such as ITC, TAJ, Oberoi and Marriott. I don’t know about any alumni referrals but i hope and thinks so that there is something in that regards. But at the end of the day it is you and your hard work which will pay off at the end.
College Events
My college host a lot of events as you expect from a hospitality management institute. In which many are in house events and some are inter college events in which we participate. We also have events in which we are to bring our family or friends to participate if they are up for it.
Campus Life
college has good infrastructure with seperate boys and girls hostel, and there were enough space for playing badminton also aniversary was good.
