Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of the fashion technology program is very vast and diverse course has been designed according to the Industry so that the students don? have a problem finding the jobs and internships the course Trains us in a lot of fields related to fashion. Examinations are held at the end of each semester and workshops as well as assignments are provided to us almost weekly

Placement Experience

We are required to do a compulsory internship in the second year which is provided by the college or we can search for Ourselves as well the placement opportunities at JD Institute are unparalleled as the institute is situated in Mumbai most of the fashion houses are there and provide a number of jobs and internships to the students some of the top recruiters are Myntra Adidas Puma etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the BSE fashion technology program has been kept very flexible so that the students don? face any problem the fever here for the program is Rs.1,80,000 making the total fees for the program 5,40,000 which is feasible as the sea at other fashion colleges is much higher I think the fee is absolutely worth it and is not overcharged

Life at JD Institute of fashion technology is great the culture is very vibrant and the students are very good to talk to we have a number of storing clothes which you can join fashion shows and events are held either on the campus every year the annual cultural fest of JD Institute is also very amazing if you join JD Institute of technology you will have a very fulfilling college life

JD Institute is a renowned institute in the field of fashion therefore I always wanted to institute the admissions for this college are done on the basis of merit I had scored great marks in my 10+2 therefore I was granted admission into the BSE fashion technology course at JD Institute of fashion technology it was really a proud moment for me as I always wanted to get into this college.

As we are in the 1st year of our college, I won't be able to answer this accurately. But, as far as what I've heard from the alumni and seniors, the average placement stats of this college is around 15LPA. The highest package may scale up to 30LPA.

we so many different clubs and committees to be a part off and to learn from.
the level of ecpertise in terms of faculty is really amazing, we have faculties coming from milan to teach us.

missing on college campus because of space .

after 3rd sem companies starts visiting the college , highest package for this year is 28 lps as of now , avg is 13 lpa, my plans are getting into a good fmcg company. percentage ad of now is 70 % , there is quite a few of no of companies visiting

Exam pattern is quite easy to pass as there is relative grading.
There are multiple events and clubs to participate
From SY only class is about 2-4 hrs everyday and Saturday-Sunday holidays

Dislikes

Metallurgy department Class room's are very small and old
Hostel food sucks tbh, only on sundays we get an option to eat non veg.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for pre-placement and after 7-8 semester most of them get place.About 228 companies visited in our college and 530 students were placed.The highest offer made was 87 lacs and averages placement was 12lacs.For metallurgy it was 20lacs and average was 8.5 lacs.About 76.26% students were placed this year. I will look for good package if i don't get then i will start preparing for gate/gre exam for my master.

Likes

Cultural fest and sport events are very nice
Practical classes are very interesting and help in visualizing human anatomy
Hostel facilities are very nice and provide good facilities

Dislikes

No mess or canteen facilities are available in college
Sport ground is not too big and has less equipments
Boys Hostel is 6-7 km away from the college

Curriculum is competency based which tries to help in overall development of student in all aspects. Every subject is given equally attention. Every department conducts seminars, different sessions in which students has to present different topics on stage which help them build confidence for speaking on stage.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from starting of the second year. The placements commence then and continue till everyone is placed. Being a young college, the placements are improving on a yearly basis with new companies being onboarded. The average package stands around 12-13LPA.

Remarks:

I had honestly applied in only a selected number of colleges, as I was doing really well in my coaching and was always among the top 2. Since, I was expecting a lot from myself, it created performance pressure and I went blank during the actual CAT examination. So SDA bocconi was among the top 2 options that I had. It is less than a decade old and has still managed to provide good placements. The most fascinating part is the entire semester in Bocconi,Milan which is the 21st best college in the world and 7th in Europe. I also spoke to many aluminis and hardly got to hear anything that will stop me from taking admission in SDA bocconi. Plus, the advantage of the college being in a city like Mumbai has it's own advantages.

Remarks:

College management is highly supportive of student needs. The management listens to student issues and tries to solve it with proper thinking and strategy. The college and the composition, though is extremely dynamic and diverse, students live together peacefully in harmony, supporting and helping each other whenever needed. Though being it's initial stages of setup, the college faces certain issues with placements and internships, but slowly with every batchs learnings, these are also being cured. This ensures that students are always on their toes and ready to take on challenges.
