A journey rewind

My admission into Gujarati technical University was through ACPC i.e admission committee for applied courses. I enrolled on one of the GTU colleges through my merit list. We were informed about the list of Colleges in the form of a booklet where it contains all the information regarding the placement opportunities, college fees structure, merit ranks to get an admission from top Colleges till bottom or least preferred college names and as per the merit list and ranks we were able to make a judgement of the college's we need to apply so that we can sure shot get admission in that. We were required to pay online admission fees through ACPC which was around 20,000. The fees were returnable if we didn't get any admission through ACPC channels.

The term examination was conducted as per the schedule and it was moderately difficult depends upon how well you have studied and are prepared to give the examination. Few subjects were quite difficult to pass which required utmost dedication and practice to go through the notes, the reference book to not only score well in the examination but to pass the paper and to avoid getting a KT.

The placement in our college was not that bad. The students having actual technical skills did get placed in many different companies. Few students didn't appear in the Campus placement as they had a different place like further studies, going abroad etc. They are many students from my batch who are at IITs pursuing masters, students doing MBA drop top-notch Indian colleges and of course students who went abroad for studies and a better job opportunity.

The fees structure was quite high compared to every other college within the Gujarat Technical University. Scholarships were provided by the Gujarat Government for the students belonging to backward classes or the students scoring 10.00 CGPI. There were scholarships based on the financial condition of the particular students. The students have to submit few documents for proof and get them verified to get the scholarship. The placement was not bad. As I am working for the past 3 years in a core mechanical company which I got placed through my campus selection during my final year. As my 4th/final year got ended on May 2018 and my joining date for the company mya 1 June 2018. So there weren't even a gap between my joining date and completion of B.E which helped me to get a plus point to grab a lot more opportunities in future.

The infrastructure of the campus is very beautiful. Our campus had very beautiful sculptures, paintings done/ created by many international artists which are actually very beautiful and a boon to our eyes. The Campus had a very lush green surrounding with a gazebo, a small pond, trees, and a beautiful garden. We had few clubs like dance club, music club, sports club, etc for the extracurricular activities for students to get enrolled at. There are lots of pages on social media like Facebook, Instagram about our College which is beneficial to the students as well as alumni to know the recent developments which all are happening from time to time.
