Review-[GPV], Visakhapatnam

The admission process was so perfectly done in the government polytechnic of Visakhapatnam in the 2019 year. I got 2224 rank in polymer exam so I made the first choice to apply to this college in web counselling. The counselling was done according to time and verification was done correctly. To get admission to this college I had to get a minimum rank of 5000 in polycet according to my cast. I applied to government colleges of various districts in Andhra Pradesh. At first, I didn't know the full process in the admission process. The amount of 1000 rupees has been paid for admission at college. As I got free seat government to provide fees reimbursement so I can pay at college. I was so happy to get a seat in my desired college. Overally I liked the counselling process and college so much. Lastly admission process takes so many days to settle a seat.

I chose diploma in mechanical engineering as it was a prestigious course among all. I also have a special interest in studying this course. The faculty was well educated and talented both technical and brain-wise. There are so many students who benefitted from these government polytechnics. The faculty qualifications are of completed MTech, BTech, Ph.D.,m.sc, etc. The diploma course was about 3 years and we have 6 semesters to complete. Each year consists of two semesters. One semester was especially for training which helps students for jobs in companies. In the first year, there was only one exam. It is quite hard to pass in diploma because of so many things we have to pass like labs practicals, workshops, assignments, etc.

The college provides training in the last semester that is the 6th semester we opt for training in companies. We get a stipend from 1000 onwards maybe I think. There were so many projects conducted by our teachers for this as said and acknowledge by our seniors.

From 6rd semester means last year, of course, can students have eligibility for placements. The companies like HPCL,bhpv and so many visit for providing companies offer Maximum salary of up to 50000 rupees.

The fees for studying in this are payable by middle-class families which it costs about 5000 per year who got free admission in this college. I am one of them who benefitted. The government provides us scholarships like (jaagananna Vidya dheevana) and (jagannana vasathi dheevana) which we benefitted so much like for buying stationery goods required for our studies. The placements are good in our college and companies like BHPV, HPCL, L&T, etc. offer placements for those who completed the course in our college. I am very happy to study at this prestigious college. Overall I can say it was one of the best colleges in Visakhapatnam to study diploma course.

The annual fest was held for my seniors last year and the Freshers party for us was also held last year. We had almost all the books and journals in the library. The classrooms were long enough for us to study. We regularly play cricket in college. There were so many groups run by our seniors like FB and WhatsApp groups.
