College Review

The admission to this college was based on KEAM entrance exam rank. You should have good rank if you are in a general category to get admission in this prestigious college . Application to this college can be done through KEAM portal . The application fees was about 700 for general category and 300 for schedule caste. The admission process was really smooth through online mode .

I choose this college because it is the best college in trivandrum for engineering after college of engineering, trivandrum (CET)and also the college is just near to my house. Here the faculty members are highly professional. Most of them are dedicated to there work. They give as opportunity to explore our potential and rectify us . In this college , I think girls and boys are about equal strength in total . But in civil branch strength of girls are higher than boys and in mechanical branch strength of boys exceed the girls. Each semester were conducted in 5-6 month gap. In between these we will get assignments, series examination ,model exams , etc.

A good amount of students get placed in good companies. TCS is one of the main company that gives a good amount of salary package depending open the performance of the student . Since internship plays a great role in achieving activity points, most of the students try to do an internship.

Generally, 8 th Semester students become eligible to attend the campus selection process. Many prominent companies have visited our college including Infosys, TCS, UST global, IBM, RM, Speridiyan, IBS,etc . Most of the students gets placed by campus selection while some choose for higher studies while others goes for cracking some entrance exams.

The college fees is about 8000-9000 something for one semester. This amount is generally less compared to others who have to pay 65000 per sem.But I have to pay only half the amount of this because of AICTE fee waiver reduction program. There are many students who are getting scholarships also. Many students get sufficient amount through it.

Our college has many grandiose events like inspire, aagnaya, sargam,etc which are held annually . Aagnaya is the main event in our college in which all students irrespective of there department join hands together. Different programs are done and special guest will be there . 'Inspire' is a program that works to ensure proper education and holistic development of childrens living in shelter homes . In this program we interact with these childrens, generally spend some time with them . The college has a good library with a reading area which is open most of the time. Sports events are held in college annually . They are creating some cricket pitches now in our college . There are many clubs are tech events in our college. ISTC,IEEE, ASME, NSS, etc are some of the technical society available in our college. They play a main role in increasing technical knowledge of the students to a great extend.
