Remarks

I do not have many options in JOSAA counselling as my JEE score was just good and I was interested in the CSE program only so when I was given an option of IIT Bhilai I took it and secured my seat for the college as I was getting the seat in my interested program. I was not happy in the beginning as the college was new and there was no past record of the college but after becoming a part of the college I realise the college has many things to offer.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college curriculum was not only updated but also follows all the latest developments. The curriculum is also flexible and has a scope to adopt the change if needed. The curriculum provides us with complete coding knowledge and helps us to understand complicated computer algorithms in a simple way. The faculty of the college is brilliant. The faculty has very good experiences in the corporate world. They have completed their Ph.D. degree from the top universities of India even the college do not compromise with the quality of faculty. Guest faculty also visit the college during regular intervals for various lectures it is also a very good learning experience for us.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 234000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Mostly the new college is not able to provide internships but IIT Bhilai manages a very good internship program and we completed an 11-week internship under the guidance of the college placement cell. The internship was paid and the stipend for the internship ranges from 25000-to to 95000 which was really very good for the new college.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are many examples that new colleges are not able to provide placement for the first batch being part of the first batch also comes with a drawback of no placement but it is not with IIT Bhilai. The college manages to invite a good number of companies and the college was successful in inviting more than 75+ companies for the college placement drive which is a very good achievement for the college. The highest placement offer was around 21 LPA and the average salary offer was 11 LPA which is something unexpected.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarships on a merit basis and SC/ST scholarships are also available. The college also provides scholars to the needy. Central and state-funded scholarship schemes are also available. For more information on the college scholarship schemes, one can visit the college's official website.

Campus Life

4.5

The college campus life is very diverse. The college campus is very good and the college classrooms are modern and properly ventilated. The seating arrangement of the classrooms is properly designed. The college library is the house of many books that are available from around the world and lots of academic books are also available in the college library. The college campus also has a WiFi facility too.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel of the college is located within a 300-meter radius from the main college building. The hostel rooms are fully furnished and properly designed. The rooms are properly ventilated. The mess food is good and cooked in a very clean environment. Every floor of the hotel has a laundry facility. The drinking water is RO based. Every room has LAN cable connectivity and WiFi connectivity is also available for internet access. The hostel is properly maintained and managed.

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

A good college with lots of upcoming developments in the future...

For getting admission here, one has to first clear JEE MAINS first and then the JEE ADVANCED. Your college and branch purely depends on your rank in JEE ADVANCED. So you can either sacrifice your favourate branch or college. There are other entrance exams also like JAM and GATE for different programmes....Read More

Regards: A student of IIT Bhilai

I cleared my IIT Jee advanced paper and I analysed the previous year cutoff criteria to get into the college and accordingly I chose the colleges in a particular Order.Firstly being an IIT,you will find many perks in case of fame, job, tag, title etc. Also I prioritised some branches over other in which I was interested,so considering my rank,my branch and my college options,I got in IIT Bhilai.I also applied to other IIT and some Bits,VIT and some EAMCET colleges but I decided to select this over other lower colleges. I got rejected by other 1st and 2nd gen IITs as my score was not enough to get into those,I could have got into those if I would have chose some other lower branches like Metallurgy,Ocean engineering etc but I wasn't sure about choosing those branches. The exams you need to write to get into IITs is Jee advanced for Btech and Integrated Btech and Mtech and Gate for Mtech. The eligibility criteria is you have to qualify Jee advanced first to write Jee advanced, and have 75% score in your 12th exams whether it be state or CBSE board. The eligibilty score depends on the year wise cutoff marks given by the exam authority itself and it differs every year. And once you clear and be eligible, you have to select the colleges according to your priority and you get colleges according to your score,Rank and the college and brach you chose. Once you get selected in a college, you have to get all the needed documents like Jee score card,Adhaar,Caste Certificate,Income certificate,12th marks sheet etc and get verified. And once this process is cleared you get into that college...Read More

Slow people really takes time but it doesn't mean that they can't grabs opportunities, if you are a men no one can stop.

First you have to qualified for IIT-JEE(Mains) After that you have to take the IIT-JEE (ADV) examination. For general candidate for EE your rank should nearly 10,000 or below 10,000 so you can take the admission through JoSAA counselling. And for OBC nearly rank is required is (2500 to 4000 ). You can find JEE ADV papers on the official website of IIT JEE so you can practice. And do hard work and give your best...!!!...Read More
