SSIPMT Admission Dates 2026

SSIPMT B.Tech admissions for 2026-27 are processed through the CGPET-based state counselling conducted by CSVTU. MBA and M.Tech admissions follow a parallel CGPET counselling track. The current 2026-27 cycle is active.

SSIPMT Courses and Fees

SSIPMT offers three 2-year and 4-year full-time programmes. The B.Tech programme is the flagship with 8 specialisations. All fees listed below are the annual fee per the 2026 fee schedule.

B.Tech specialisations include the more recent additions of CSE-Data Science and CSE with AI, which were introduced to align with industry demand for data analytics and machine learning roles. The MBA programme’s Production and Operations Management specialisation is a niche track that pairs with SSIPMT’s engineering focus, enabling dual-stream MBA-engineering career paths.

SSIPMT Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech eligibility at SSIPMT requires Class 12 PCM with a minimum of 45% marks. Admission is through the CGPET state counselling conducted by CSVTU. JEE Main rank is also accepted. Seats are allotted based on rank, category, and branch preference during counselling rounds. SSIPMT’s CSVTU counselling code is EN 135.

Lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech is available for Diploma holders with a relevant engineering background, through the separate CGPET lateral entry counselling process.

MBA Admission

MBA eligibility requires graduation with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognised university. Valid scores in CAT, MAT, CMAT, or CGPET Management (state-level test) are required. Admission is through state counselling with SSIPMT code MB 117. There is no institute-level GD or PI in the standard CGPET counselling route.

M.Tech Admission

M.Tech eligibility requires B.Tech or BE with a minimum of 55% marks. GATE-qualified candidates are given priority in allotment. Admission is through CGPET Technical PG counselling with code ME 135. GATE scholars receive scholarship support from AICTE during the M.Tech programme.

SSIPMT Placements

SSIPMT placements for the 2025 batch recorded a highest package of INR 42 LPA offered by Microsoft and an average package of INR 7.5 LPA. The lowest offer stood at INR 6.5 LPA. Recruiters spanning the IT, product, consulting, and services sectors participated in the placement drive.

Confirmed recruiters from the 2025 placement season include Microsoft, Adobe, HackerRank, Zscaler, SAP, TCS, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra. SSIPMT’s proximity to Raipur’s growing IT corridor and its strong CS and AI specialisation base contribute to the IT-heavy recruiter composition.

Engineering graduates primarily join IT services firms, product companies, and analytics roles. MBA graduates from SSIPMT join banking, operations, and manufacturing firms operating in Chhattisgarh and Central India. The B.Tech CSE and AI and ML specialisations drive the top placement numbers.

SSIPMT Rankings

SSIPMT participates in NIRF across the Engineering, Management, Innovation, and Overall categories. The most recent confirmed NIRF Engineering rank for SSIPMT is approximately 151 (2023). The NIRF Innovation ranking for 2025 and 2026 places SSIPMT in the 151 to 300 band, as published on the official SSIPMT website.

SSIPMT Scholarships

SSIPMT students are eligible for AICTE scholarship and fellowship schemes, including the AICTE Pragati Scholarship for girls and the AICTE Saksham Scholarship for differently-abled students. Government of Chhattisgarh post-matric scholarships are also available for eligible SC, ST, OBC, and EWS students.

Merit-based scholarships may additionally be offered by the institute at the time of admission. Students should check the official SSIPMT website for current scholarship notifications.

SSIPMT Campus and Infrastructure

The SSIPMT campus is located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, providing easy access to the city’s IT offices, PSU headquarters, and state government establishments. Raipur is the main engineering education hub in the state, with CSVTU and multiple private engineering colleges operating from the region.

Campus infrastructure includes dedicated engineering laboratories for each branch, a central library with digital resources, computer centres with internet access, smart classrooms, and a sports ground. The campus has CSVTU-affiliated examination and academic administration facilities.

SSIPMT has two on-campus hostels: Sandipani Ashram for male students and Kalpvalli Bhawanam for female students. Hostel fees are up to INR 66,400 per year for each hostel. The hostels are within the campus, providing a secure residential environment for outstation students.

SSIPMT vs Rungta College vs BIT Durg

SSIPMT, Rungta College of Engineering and Technology, and Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT Durg) are three of the most prominent private engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh. All three are CSVTU-affiliated and cater to the same pool of CGPET aspirants.

SSIPMT leads on NAAC grade (A+) and NIRF participation among the three. BIT Durg has the longest history, established in 1986. Rungta College is the largest private engineering college in Raipur by intake. All three offer similar fee ranges under CSVTU regulation. Aspirants targeting newer AI and Data Science specialisations will find SSIPMT the strongest option among the three.
