Refreshing College Memories

There are so many students who come through direct admission. So, the number of student for particular branches are too many. Like, in my CSE branch there were 6 sections and in each section, there were 60 students. This creates problems while placement. Rest all processes are fine. I joined through the UPSEE exam. This exam is conducted every year for taking admission to AKTU-affiliated colleges. The application form for this exam comes in March and the exam was scheduled for April last week. In this exam, you can get some reservation benefits, that help during college choice filling. After, the result announcements you need to do choice filling for colleges. After allotment of colleges, you need to book that seat and report to college as per schedule for admission.

As per AKTU rule, there are 8-semester exams in 4 years for B.Tech students. 2 semesters every year. One is in December month and the other in May month end. The exam was conducted timely. It is not too difficult if you attend lectures and learn only those things. But, it is difficult for those who studied last night. For preparing for semester exams, the college also conducted an internal exams as well as Pre-university exam before every semester. So, that's really helpful.

There are fewer internships available with colleges so students does any training-related things during semester break. Colleges provide good certification training for various things like Adobe, Big data, Java, Python etc.

After the 6th sem students are eligible to sit any company placement. There are too many companies came to like., TCS, WIPRO, SAMASUNG, TATA STEEL, Mobilite etc. My college also conducted the Amcat exam so that's why on the basis of their marks some students also placed. Most students placed for the Assistant System Engineer Trainee position with an average salary of 3.5 lakhs. For CSE and IT branches more than 90% are placed. But placement is difficult for other branches. They are mostly placed in sales companies, not in their core companies. My plan was to join a good IT firm and learn current new technologies and the culture of that industry for better grooming.

UP scholarship(Samaj Kalyan Scholarship) was given by up government every year for all the courses. In my case, I got my scholarship for only 3 years because in 1st year there was some issue that's why all obc candidates can't get that time. Rest all year we got that. We got approx 64,400rs scholarship in which 56,600 on the course fee and the rest on hostel fee. I got selected by Tata Consultancy Services with an offer of 3.36 LPA.

Kolahaal is the main fest of my college. That was conducted every year in Feb month. It was a 3-day event, in this soo, many things happened like singing, dancing, Nukadd Natak, drama, band competition, student organising their own new games. There are 2 libraries in my college. All types of books are available. There is no shortage of books. Large place, a nice environment, and one were open all time. If any want new book related to the course they can consult with a librarian. There are soo many clubs in colleges for cultural events, sports events, social services, art clubs etc. Both indoor and outdoor sports grounds are available and event also happen for them. Indoor games like., chess, carrom, table tennis, snooker etc. Outdoor games like., Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball etc.

There are 3 types of rooms single, double and triple. There is a separate hostel for girls. There are 2 hostels for boys New Boys Hostel is for the 1st and 4th year and the Sarojni hostel is for the 2nd and 3rd year. The rooms are good in size. There is a separate mess and entertainment room for both hostels and a badminton court present inside both hostels. That were really amazing thing. Hostel food was really good but sometimes food was not up to mark. We complain about that but after that they tried to make it better. No quality compromise. Hostel room allotted on the basis of first come first serve. There are flats and pg available near colleges. There are too many societies near my college so flats are easily available at a reasonable rate.
