Entrance Preview
The admission was done by filling the registration form available online on the website of the college. The college took a common entrance test and based on the performance in the exam, the admission opportunity was offered to us. I got 192 rank in the entrance test and got the admission very easily. The exam pattern was very similar to the previous year papers.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum involves all the basic subjects of the engineering and the course is divided into semesters. I did BE in computer science and the curriculum included subjects of computers as well. The emphasis was laid more on theoretical part rather than the practical part which was a bit of annoying for me, but my friends used to love it. They were very happy with the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was not mandatory for us, but I was very keen to join a company and get an experience of the industry, so I asked the college to allow me to do the internship in a company. They gave me the offer letter and I was able to apply in a company. I did internship for 2 months and got a stipend of Rs6500 per month. I also made project based on my internship programme.
Placement Experience
Placements are offered to all the students at the end of the 5th semester. A lot of companies comes to the college to pick up the brightest students and offer them the best packages and opportunities. 95% of the students of my batch got placed in the first week of the placement. Rest 5% were given a chance again during the second week and they got good offers too. Average package given to all the students was around Rs.375000 per annum.
College Events
A lot of cultural and technical events are organized in the college every year. The student can take part in all the events as a participant or can manage the event by entering into the management team. Most of the batch students are interested in being a part of the management team because they get a chance to play around with high-tech equipment.
