Bhubaneswar Engineering College, B.TECH(civil engnering)

Remarks

delighted to have enjoyed the assistance and support of its alumni, parents, and friends throughout its distinguished history. Our alumni is a crucial part of our college community, and our alumni continues to stay connected with us. Being a part of our alumni is an important way our students become involved and stay involved with our faculty as well as current students

Entrance Preview

I gave JEE MAIN entrance exam and scored pretty well in that , I opted majorly because of two reasons. The B.TECH civil enginereing department was renowned for its faculty. The heavenly beautiful campus offers ultimately serene and peaceful atmosphere for studies.

Placement Experience

3.5

we have developed a well-organized and structured Training and Placement Cell that enables our students to become futuristic professionals. We provide 100% placement assistance to our students and provide comprehensive grooming by nurturing individual skill-sets. There is most certainly a mismatch between the current pattern of education and the skills required by the industry.

Campus Life

Our Students have put together an award winning Go Kart team. We have an active Alumni Network. Take a look at our Campus. We are proud to have a strong alumni of students that work across various industries and with leading companies and multi-national corporate with promising careers.

Hostel Facilities

The college hostel is located in the college campus. It has well furnished rooms, each with a table, a chair, a cupboard, a fan, attached toilet block, 24 hours security, generator backup, purified drinking water, and hot water facility through solar heating. The hostel has a safe, peaceful and disciplined environment.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

DRIEMS UNIVERSITY review after 5 year of frustrating experience legacy will be continued ????....

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.
