Course Curriculum Overview

4

The syllabus is not so updated syllabus. It consists of much old technology which is not in use. Also, EEE and ME syllabi are tough and the pass percentage is very less for that The faculties are highly qualified and most of them have PhD in some areas. Also, most of them are qualified from IIT, NIT etc. Some subjects are easy and some others are tough. But in some exams out of syllabus and tough questions are asked. One semester has 2 internal exams and 75% attendance is necessary and attendance has 10 marks. The total internal marks are for 50 marks and at the end of the semester, semester exams are conducted by the university for 100 marks with a minimum of 50% of the total mark(internal+sem) is required Each course has an annual intake of 70 and there are almost 60 faculties in each department and some temporary faculties as well and some lab staff

Internships Opportunities

2

Internship opportunities are very poor on campus but however, but some companies hire students for internships. Electronics and IT companies are mainly in that. Texas instruments are one such company. For BTech students project is compulsory because it is there in the curriculum itself and it is done in the fourth year. Also seminars and presentation are conducted as a part of that

Placement Experience

3

The students from S6 are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies are IT-related companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and UST visit the campus every year and hire a huge number of students. The average package is 4LPA with the highest being at almost 30LPA. Almost 60% of staff are getting placed. The CGPU provide training for aptitude and technical tests Also, some students get offers from good universities for higher education

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is so cheap. Only 8650 Rs is the annual tuition fee. In addition to that exam, fees have to be paid to the university. It's almost around 3000 per semester. No fees is applicable for egrantz students All the scholarship provided by State and Central Govt is available for students which include Egrantz, MCM, Samunyothy etc. In addition to these some private scholarships are also available like FFE, Hope etc. A total stipend of Rs. 15000 is given to students as a part of the scholarship For egrantz availed students reduction in hostel fees and Tuition fees are provided in addition to the stipend The university provides almost 60% of placements mostly IT placement. For CSE students the placement chance is higher with a package of 4 LPA and companies like Infosys, TCS etc visit the campus every year

Campus Life

4

The central library is one of the best libraries in Kerala. It consists of almost all the literature and so many technical books as well. Elections are conducted every year and the union will conduct some tech and cultural fest every year and a footfall of 30000 is expected every year. All the building has the necessary toilets for boys and ladies and the ladies' aminity centre is available for girls. Also, there are some planning to give period leave to girls. The university cricket, football and volleyball team is one of the best teams in India. Nss, Ncc, H20, IEEE etc are the main clubs and some events are conducted by these clubs too

Hostel Facilities

4

The men's hostel(MH) and ladies' hostel are inside the campus. In MH one room is for two students and in LH one room is for 4 Girls and each floor has 15-20 toilets and drinking water availability. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
