My Memorable Days in College

Good remarks: Good environment, help faculty staff and cooperative seniors. Good support and infrastructure and all that are expected of a good institutions. Suggestions: I personally would like the Private Rooms to be cleaned more regularly. Though the onus is also on the students, the Staff and Seniors should spread more awareness of hygiene. As rightly said, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness".

No Entrance Exam required. I had scored 67% in Bachelor of Engineering Exams and was eligible for admission. The college conducted an interview and scrutinized my Degree and Marks Card before granting me admission. Thanks

The new Course Curriculum B. Ed is really very well thought and researched. It earlier was a 1 Year course. The authorities have improved the curriculum and brought in more sophistication to the course. The curriculum has been designed not just focusing on the teacher, but keep in mind the tripolar approach i.e. Student, Teacher and the curriculum. The course is really student centric and give a lot of importance and emphasis on not just student learning but also on activities and not mere concentrates on teaching. Rather than just conventional teaching, ti encourages the extensive use of teaching teaching aids like student involvement, role play, model making, ICT, Video, Audio aids, ICT (Information, Communication & Technology), Interactive White Board (IWB), Seminars, PowerPoint Presentation, Assignments, Tutorials, Co-curricular activities, Extra Curricular activities and a host of other activities.

No. This is purely an unaided college. Hence there is no internship or stipend. The college authorities are working on it to develop it fully into an autonomous entity, to not only bring in Guest Lecturers and Guest Speakers, but also improve the infrastructure.

The Maulana Azad B. Ed College is ranked at 3rd position in B. Ed. College Ranking. They have a formidable reputation in not just quality teaching and grooming, but also are a reputed name when it comes for institutions seeking teaching staff. All the colleges and institutions in the vicinity of send their requirements of teaching staff on a regular basis to Maulana Azad B. Ed. College. J.S.S. group of institutions, Ramaih Group of Educational institutions and a host of other institutions source their candidates from Maulana Azad B. Ed. College.

We do have our College Fest once in a year. It is completely managed by students and ably guided and our Faculty and Principal. She is an immensely talented, multi-faceted, Never-Say-Die and energetic lady. Apart from this we have outstation excursion trips carried out in tandem with students and staff Nature camps locally with a visit to hills, rivers, bird sanctuary and KRS Dam Brindavan Gardens, Mysore Zoo (Second Best Zoo in India), writing and essay competitions (I really enjoy participating in Quizs and Essay Competitions. I have just recently send my essay to UN sponsored essay titled "The Greatest Enemy of Knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge"). Apart from this we have the regular stuff like Sports competitions, Debates, cultural activities, recently we celebrated Teacher's Day in a Big way.

It is indeed flexible. The institution supports us fully in availing Scholarship and also in placements. Even though it is not an Aided institution, the fee structure is very flexible and institution itself encourages us to apply for scholarships to take benefit of the various scheme introduced by Government for the benefit of the students.

Encouraged and guided by the institutions, I have personally applied for both Student Loan and Student Scholarship. Likewise many other students have benefited from these.

Maulana Azad B. Ed. College has a very healthy gender ratio. As a matter of fact, one would be surprised to know that there are 2 Female Students to every single Male Student. Maulana Azad B. Ed. College does not have hostel facility. But as mentioned earlier, Maulana Azad B. Ed. College is in the continuous process of development of infrastructure. The management is very keen to expand from the existing Nursery, Primary, High Schools, B. Ed college to in-house resident program including hostel, mess and other facilities. They have just introduced Yoga, Karate and Taekwondo training to emphasize on "Sound Mind in a Sound Body" concept.

Alumni do visit us and senior students especially those in 2nd Year are really helpful and give us the guidance in all aspects of studies and exams. Since all the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activitees liekoutstation excursion trips carried out in tandem with senior and staff, we enjoy a healthy rapport despite minor hiccups which are eventually bound to happen. We have a Semester scheme. Exams are indeed hectic. But all other days we chill out. We are a professional college managed professionally and there is no gain if there is no pain :-) During non-exam days we really chill out, hang out and let our hairs down. We do arrange and manage outdoor activities, excursions, luncheons (Maulana Azad B. Ed. College has a dedicated kitchen and Dinner hall) and a host of co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

I was very eager to purse Bachelor of Education. And I did some ground work and background check. And zeroed on the Maulana Azad B. Ed. College. As a matter of fact, I also met and discussed my intention to do B. Ed with other staff. I also visited the library to get a first hand information of the facilities.

The faculty and other staff are well qualified to teach and assist students their optimum level. They encourage to explore, be creative and be innovative. All activities apart from traditional class room teaching - learning are always encouraged. Field trip, observation of teaching in other institutions, Teaching Practice in other educational institutions to improve our exposure, skill development, Confidence building etc are always encouraged and supported.
