What Students Say

Likes

Campus Canteen, basketball court and class room environment.

Dislikes

Faculty behaviour, management behaviour, hostel warden behaviour

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose B.com along with the professional qualification CMA USA since there are fewer colleges in Kerala which provide courses integrated. Faculty are well experienced and use presentations to teach. Exams are timely and we have 2 internal exams prior to the semester exams.

Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Miles Education Pvt Ltd gave internship opportunities to CMA US students. Students were given the role of Digital Marketing Intern to complete social media tasks assigned. It was a 2 months program to get students used to activities related to Marketing.

Placement Experience

2.5

Students become eligible for campus placements in the 5th semester. KPMG, Deloitte, Federal Bank etc are some companies that provide placements. The highest package was 50,000 per month. The average Package is around 30,000 per month. 20% of the students receive placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are comparatively higher than the facilities provided. B.com with CMA costs approx 2.5 Lakhs. A scholarship exam was conducted for CMA And 10 of them were selected. Placements are provided by big 4s and MNCs.

Campus Life

2.5

Fests are not conducted often since it was covid time. The library is present on the top floor of the campus. The classrooms are provided with 4 fans and 4 windows and a projector and blackboard. It also has a podium where teachers present the presentations.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel food is good compared with other colleges. The quality of the food is okay. The registration process is done directly with the Hostel faculties. The hostel is quite affordable compared with other hostels nearby.

Admission

Eligibility criteria were first class in reference to 12th marks. I received all information regarding the application or admission from the college administration. Reservation benefits are availed to the SC/ST community.

Interview Experience

2.5

No interview was faced for the purpose of admission. It was solely on the marks obtained on the 12th. After applying to the college, they told me to pay the 1st-semester full fees in order to confirm the seat. And then called to college for submissions of original documents.

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Unfortunately, I did not meet the cutoff of Christ College , Irinjalakuda, which was my first preference. The admission process was straight forward. Eligibility criteria required students to have a minimum 50 % in their Class 12 Commerce stream. A College that you can consider for building your career

The admission to this college is through two ways. First through management quota and second is through merit quota. If you are getting admission through management quota then you will have to pay fees higher than a student who is getting admission through merit quota. For getting admission through merit quota you will have to get above 90% in your 12th standard. The eligibility for all the courses is minimum 55% in 12th standard in the respective streams. The application form is available in the college website or you can get it from the college office. The application fees is Rs.550. The application starts in the month of March every year, dates can vary each year. There are seat reservations for SC, ST, Pwd categories. I haven't availed any reservations, I am a student under general category. The admission process is lengthy after filling out application forms there will be long orientation sessions about the college and you will have to read so many documents about rules of college...Read More
