College Electrical Lab facilities are sometimes so low

Course Curriculum Overview

So I am studying in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, yeah if you are not studying subjects will get tough.but the scope of this field is so vast and you need to study and gain amazing skill for getting excellent jobs.also you can get jobs through campus placements. Teaching methods and syllabus is quite good, because they cover almost all portions.but when comes to practical,In My college that field is actually less, yes they have practical labs but when comparing theroy portions is always more. You need to study well for getting good marks in internals and university exam

Class Size: 1000Course Fees: INR 35000 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

This college We have placement cell Groups for college campus placements.there are more than 50 companies where came in this college.Mainly more companies are focusing on Computer Science, Artificial intelligence engineering students.yes also have placements for EC and EEE students. Some of the companies will hire freshers even if they have backlogs. As you should look for scope on job opportunities in your course. So study a course releted to your field to get a job or you can further study into Mtech if you love to teach or research.

Fees and Financial Aid

For Merit tha approximate fees is 35k for per year For management it is 65k For hostelers the price will increase with availability of food and accommodation. Scholarships that are available are NCMS,E Grants, etc Also there are many programs like IEDC,IEEE,FOSSCELL Etc for students career build up.

Campus Life

Campus Life is Good. But not perfect because the college Campus not that quite big.but in future more courses are coming so Campus is under construction for more space and gaining campus Life. Technical programs like IEDC IEEE FOSSCELL Etc have technical workshops and seminars for student career build up. Talking about sports,we have intercollege cricket, football, volleyball tournaments Also we have intracollege Cricket,Football, Volleyball and Khokho etc. We have college Social Media accounts for respective events In this college Music club, film club etc are available.

Admission

Admission process is quite simple, but take more time than expected, because of increasing number of students. First you need to write KEAM Entrance exam for getting into a Engineering College. The Mark you got will depends college where you get.in 2020th time pass mark is 10only(I think today is also like that ). After the allotment where you apply number of colleges one college will be selected and from there you get the application forms etc. Yes they have scholarships. University is KTU University where exams are normally tough so u need to study well to pass.so even for admission with your choice of field you should gained the respective marks for that field.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

I got admission in this college through Non-KEAM which means they took my plus 2 marks and gave me admission, but the management seats were over and I had to take an NRI seat to get the admission. I planned to take my admission in chemical engineering at Amal Jyothy Kanjirapally, but at the last minute I decided to pursue a career in AI and chose CEAL. It is a decison that I will never regret over. You had to have a KEAM ranking of atleast thirty thousand to get into this college....Read More

There is KEAM exam conducted by the kerala govt for entries to technical courses in kerala. The exam mainly focuses on physics, chemistry and mathematics and the paper is out of 600. The difficulty of the paper ranges from easy to difficult. After getting into the rank list there are 3 rounds of counselling that happens. Last year the cut-off were: Merit seats: 27K Management seats: 45K There are some seats reserved for SC, ST, OBC etc. The admission process was delayed very much last time due to which 6 months semester was completed in 3 months, that created great pressure on the students. I hope that gets resolved this time....Read More
