Hasmukh Goswami College of Engineering Ahmedabad, B E Computer

Reviewed on Dec 26, 2015

Remarks

The college management is good. But the rules and regulation are superior here. Beside this the company prefered less for the campus placement drive.

Entrance Preview

At the time of my admission I have appeared for GUJCET, which is the entrance exam in which 60% of my GUJCET score and 40% of my regular examination ( Physics, Chemistry, Maths) marks are count. So as per this calculation I got 61. 24% as this criteria this college is best. As I don't want to move other city regarding educational purpose and as I am not willing to join hostel so this college is located near Ahmedabad. So it is best college for student like me.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I join the college for the Bachelor of Engineering - Computer field. The college is best for Computer Engineering field. The professors have vast of experience and knowledge. Also the computer lab is updates as per the current technology. So it is good for computer engineering field not for any other field such as Michenical, Electrical etc.

Internships Opportunities

As speaking truth the local companies are coming for the campus placement and also sometime they offer internship to the students. Local company such as Mavenvista technologies, Quantum Technolabs etc are come. Also I have no idea about stipend because when I was there very few student get internship.

Placement Experience

The Training and placement committee found too less company to attract for the campus placement. The company which came for the placement are most of the field of Marketing. They hired student for the Marketing purpose. We can count the number of student who got placement. Also the job opportunities are not in the campus but we have to depend on the off campus placement drive.

College Events

The college have annual function Abhivyakti to celcebrate at each two year. Yes the Abhivyakti is celebrated at every two year. Besides this the sports week, Gaming drive, Robo war are the event which is celebrated each year. Each year there is a Robo war on the day of Engineer's Day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very high. Also they are demanding some kind of fees which they actually not provided such as Gymkhana. And for engineering the fee is 65, 000 per annum. It mean the half amount should be paid on each semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

No that kind of facilites not provided by the college. But if you have any financial problem they will surly help you.

Campus Life

I have enjoy my college life. As here is extracaricullar activities are very less in number. But we have to enjoy during the college festival such as days, Robo war, Abhivyakti.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are good. They provide good food. As I have not join hostel but this are on the expericne of my friends who come from hostel

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The senior student are helpful in nature. The raging is not done here. It is ragging free campus. They are very helpful at the time of assignment are given. Beside this they help you a lot.

Exam Structure

Each semester have 1 Mid sem exams which is in the middle of the Semester. Also there is a Remedial exam for those who have not cleared the mid sem exams or who are fail to attempt the mid sem exam. After this one University Exam. The college is affiliate

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

My Life at Parul University as a computer science student

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
