Medicos share Deep bond amongst each other. Juniors are lovable and seniors are helping as well as friendly
Health care facilities are excellent being topmost medical College of jharkhand.

Course Curriculum Overview

CBME pattern of education has slightly made life toughfer for medicos. But its said that if you sweat more in practice you lose less blood in war. Same applies here. New curriculum prepares us for real life situations. Exams: 3 terminal and 1 University exam every year.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There is one year compulsory internship which every medico has to undergo. They pay a decent salary of 30k which is far better as compared to other medical Colleges. During PSM postings one has to Visit RHTC .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee : 10000 every year for general medical boys students. There is provision of scholarship for State quota students. Complete cost is around 20000 every year including Hostel fee for 4 years. You get salary around 30k during compulsory internship for 1 year .

Campus Life

Palash is annual cultural fest held every year in December. There are Five societies organising their events and the fest ends with star night. For Sports we have Cricket, Volleyball and Badminton leagues organised every year during different times of the year. There is Central library available with most of the medical books and Journals.

Hostel Facilities

Boys get Single rooms while Junior girls gets Double rooms. Bed , table , chair and Fan are provided by college only. 2-3 mMess is available in every hostel with above average quality food. Hostels are given only to outside Ranchi students.

Hostel Fee: INR 3500 per year

Admission

Eligibility is 12 passed out with biology Have to appear for NEET - UG held in May every year. There is reservation available for SC/ST/OBC students as well as Female students in some states. Difficulty level is medium for the NEET exam with a few students scoring 100%

Faculty

NMC guidelines are followed almost every where. Competency based medical education has decreased burden on individual professors due to various short group discussions and self directed learning. Clinical department professors are not approachable every time but there are JRs and SRs who are ready to help.

Very short Campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is all about learning and exploring . Only choose this profession when you have a will to help others otherwise it would be a difficult course for you. The passing marks of examination is 50 and for that you need to study hard.

Academics and faculties and professors ..
The classroom .. and SGD classes .. and our academic building
Our stadium , our campus , our hostel and our ground

Dislikes

Lack of water filter instead we have to pay for water
Lack of canteen ( common ) for boys and girls
Lack of coordination between different departments

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current mode of our curriculum is CBME based that is competency based which has lessen the quantity of syllabus of mbbs course . This made the work of professors easy and the we as a students easily understand any topic and is easy for us in exam too .

Likes

Infrastructure, It's hostel facility and rooms are well maintained. Bathrooms are well built too and they clean it everyday
Academics, Professors are very experienced and do have a vast knowledge about their respective topics.
Extra activities, it gives many opportunities for the extra curricular activities like singing, dancing, sports, writing, paintings etc.

Dislikes

Its location, it is located in the outskirts of deoghar city which is quite far from the market
Gender ratio, It is 3:1 boys to girls, which is present in almost all the other AIIMS
Mess food, quality is good but the problem is variety. Weekly menu doesn't change according to the month or season and you have to eat with the same weekly menu for whole year.

When I cleared my NEET exam , i was confused whether to go for all India or state quota , but after understanding each and everything , I decided to go for state quota because u was sure i would get this college ....Read More

No , I didn't opt for any other college. The process of getting admission is - Score good marks in NEET UG exam after completing your 12th from a recognized board. Register for JCECEB counselling . Apply for this college in counselling. Fill the registration and security fees as required. If you qualify , you will get an allotment letter. Beauty of our medical science college Rajendra institute of medical sciences,ranchi

I applied for other colleges as well like ipgmer kolkata and Aiims but due to their high cutoff,i didn't get the one and among the state college i choose rims because its very close to my hometown and top medical college of our state,it have very low admission fees and you can complete your entire mbbs below 50 k. Life at Dental Institute, RIMS

Being the only government college in Jharkhand to offer Bachelors in Dental Surgery is the biggest of all the pros for RIMS. It is more difficult to get into RIMS than other colleges as there is more competition and allotment is via ranks obtained in NEET examination. I could easily make it to other colleges because I scored good marks.
