Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choosed the course because I had little to no interest in the IT field, I liked the core areas better, the electrical curriculum was had as per the syllabus we get little to no sem breaks and had to study main subjects in 3 months for exams, it got all messed up by covid, the 6 moth course turned into 3 month, thanks to covid, there were 2 internal exams held one month apart and a final sem exam, internal exam were easy they took about 25 marks out of total 150, 10 marks for attendance and the rest 15 for assignment, and 100 for external exam.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the seventh semester studentsare eligible for placements, the various companies like dell, bosch nokia, amazon etc have came for placements, total offers in 2022 were 450, The highest package is around 10 lakh, percentage of placed students is 10 percent, My plan is to pursue masters from IIT

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides category based scholarship to students because it is a government college, Each year it costed me around 15k for college fees and, for each sem exam fees around 3000rs, scholarships are provided by the government, I have not taken jobs or anything and solely was depeneded on my parents for financial help

Campus Life

3.5

The overall college atmosphere was really good, our annual fest "aagneya" was held everyyear, many famous people come and make the day memorable, liabray is small and has mostly academic books, the classroom has projector and LCD monitor, there is annual sports day every year, and many social groups such as NSS, movie groups, modelling groups make the student life better

Admission

To be elgibile, you have to have a particular cut off KEAM score, KEAM is an exam for entry into engineering colleges all across kerala, The exam occurs in the month of june every year, the application form can be found in offical keam website, they also consider 12th marks for final rank list

Faculty

3

The most of the faculitie had masters from IIT and had some of them had their book published as well, they were all educated. The faculty to student ratio was really small like 2:72, faculties most of time used slide to teach us, but some really good teachers used to write on board and teach us, some of them really made the class interesting, but some of them didn't care at all. But all of them were really qualifed and had good degrees from reputed colleges, The interaction between the teachers and students depeneded on the type of teacher, some teachers really mingled with students but someother only taught and left, the learning experience was totally average to be honest, though the faculties tried their best to provide us with what they know

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
