"Reflections from Deccan College: A Journey through Civil Engineering"

I had a passion for Civil Engineering because it's the core for the development of our country, and all the beautiful infrastructure in the world was made by an civil engineer and the curriculum enhances more in practical knowledge rather than theoretical which was really helpful and my suggestions for the area of improvement for the curriculum and teaching methods is the curriculum is wonderful but it needs to be more elaborate and easily understandable. And exams were really really toughest ones even the internal exams were very strict and tough and external exams neeeds a well hard working preparation to clear the paper.

From 4th year(final year) students became eligible for interviews and started attending them Highest package in Deccan engineering and technology College was 3LPA and all small companies with no proper salaries were invited to this college The percentage of students getting placements are very low like 5% of the total institutions My plans were to prepare for government jobs but now i recently applied for mtech.

Fee structure is around 70k but government gives full fee reimbursement for all the students so it became a free education where government pays the whole fee. There only will be exam fee evey semester and only one tike admission fee of around 5-6k Coming to scholarship the yearly scholarship for every student was 6500/- there was no financial aid for the students I got two campus placement jobs but the LPA was tooo low so i didn't join those companies

There are no technical festivals or events celebrated in this college no co curricular activities were provided. Coming to the library, this college had the biggest library with each and every kinds of books which were really helpful for the semester as well as government jobs preparation. There were no technological provisions provided in the classroom it's just the teacher and student no projector nothing. Even though it has big ground but there no sport's kr extra curricular activities offered. There's nothing like students social group,clubs,portals this college was just to come to study get your degree and leave that's it.

I got the admission in Deccan engineering by an entrance exam called TSECET. And i got a rank of 693 this college selected students in between 300 to 900 ranks. The eligibility to get admission is either inter or diploma in Civil Engineering. Just in case of diploma the student directly promots to second year. There are reservation benefits like free Library, exemption from college fee , no sports fee etcc.. Exams where conducted very comfortably and genuinely and there are no suggestions regarding admission process the one they run is really good.

All the faculties in this institution were well experienced professionals who completed there masters in there respective fields,and coming to faculty students ratio is approx 1:37 each department had there own faculties and some teachers were good and some were excellent with a great approach like just by listening the class we can clear that subject. And we can interact with teachers anytime we want they will even provide us with there personal contacts of for doubts and every faculty in Deccan college provides tuition for the students .
